The number one killer in the United States today is heart disease or also known as cardiovascular disease (U.S. National Library of Medicine, 2015). As death rates begin to rise due to cardiovascular disease, in 1948 the Framingham Heart Study became a joint project of the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute and Boston University to pinpoint the most common factors that play a role in cardiovascular disease and strokes (Framingham Heart Study, 2015). Over several years, the Framingham study has identified several risks factors that are believed to increase the likelihood of a person being diagnosed with cardiovascular disease. These risk factors include high blood pressure, high cholesterol levels, smoking, obesity, diabetes, and physical
Is hunting for sport (not food or survival) morally justified? At one point of time hunting was very crucial for survival but now some would say hunting is nothing more than a violent form of recreation that the majority of hunters do not need for subsistence. Those who support hunting may say it does more good than bad for economic reasons. Outsiders are more concerned with the pain and suffering and loss of life endured by the animals. A study conducted by a Yale professor concluded that 60% of Americans disapprove of sport hunting and about one-third of Americans favor a total ban on hunting (Achor 138). I believe hunting animals for sport and not for survival is completely wrong and should be illegal.

The first attempt and success to climb Mt. Everest occured in 1953. Since then, almost 4,000 people have been able to scale the mountain, but over 230 people have not been able to climb it successfully. There is a chance of accident or death when climbing this mountain or any dangerous activity. All people should should have the right to rescue services even if they knowingly put themselves at risk because there is always a chance of an accident happening, rangers are there to save people in danger, and there are rescue vehicles being produced to be used in case of an emergency.
I believe everyone deserves to be given free healthcare if they can not afford it. Plenty of people are dying because we don’t have coverage for everyone.More people are needing universal healthcare and we should be able to give it to those in need. This is making us look so bad to other countries. We should care for everyone who lives in our country even if we don’t know each other. None one should ever be left behind to suffer or see other people suffer from something that can be easily cured. Healthcare would save tons of lives, keep our nation whole, and make everyone strong again.
The Freshman 15 is a thought that crosses the minds of most future college students, but most say that it won’t happen to them. This fear of losing a toned body after graduating high school bothers some more than others. They realize after high school there are no longer athletics, and they’ll no longer be exercising regularly. Also, when they depart from their parents house and begin to live on their own their eating habits change. Responsibilities change when at college and this can cause stress and weight change. A change in diet and not eating properly can cause someone to gain weight. Not to mention that sleeping habits change dramatically when you go to college. The first thing that comes to people’s minds when they hear “freshman 15” is drinking alcohol, but this isn’t the only factor in the problem. This is a problem for these future students, and there isn’t just one solution to it. Many of the solutions to this problem are daily habits that could be changed easily while at college.

Intro-hook: Imagine your loved one unexpectedly commits suicide. Your mother, your father, your sister, or your brother. A mental illness such as depression can lead to someone taking their life. The scariest part is that whole time you didn't realize they had those thoughts. But the problem is this happens every 40 seconds around the world and we don't realize it. These problems could be avoided if we learned how to take action in this type of situation.
Imagine if you were in need of a transplant and was waiting for the day when you found your donor match. Many recipients are stuck on the waitlist for a donor and sometimes even pass away because the waitlist took too long. To avoid this issue, a few ideas or systems should be considered in order to make the process quicker. Currently organ donations only consist of hair, blood plasma, and sperm and egg. Since removing your kidney is a riskier procedure than donating your hair, receiving money for the process will influence people to donate. Adding kidneys to the accepted list of organ sales can cause an uproar both good and bad, but may overall benefit those in need. The process of organ donations in the United States is an unstable procedure, but with the improvement in the system black markets can be stopped, awareness can be improved, and more lives will be saved.

Everyone involved in our life has helped raise and teach us about almost everything as they all played a role in our lives. But how exactly did they play a role in our lives? In my opinion, they educated us on things that our time in school did not. In school, they teach us the same four subjects each year: English, Math, Science, and Social Studies. However, they are not teaching us things that we would have to learn from experience later in our lives. They are not focused on teaching us what to expect when we reach the age of adulthood, they are focused on teaching us about the subjects appointed by the Department of Education (DOE). This is the issue we face every day with the school system because although it is great to have a better understanding in these subjects, they should also focus on teaching us how to prepare for the real world. I strongly believe that they should be teaching us how to save money, how to be a better candidate for a job application, and how we are are going to need to be independent. Education should not just be about our academics or else we will never get anywhere. It should also be about how to prepare yourself for real-world problems.

It is essential that younger generations receive a quality education. Children all over the United States of America are being deprived of their schooling. Not all schools receive equal funding. Kids who grow up in less wealthy areas are less likely to receive a good education. Children are being set up for failure. They 're funding is based on the wealth of the area they live in. Kids who might have excelled in certain areas with the right tutoring will never get the opportunity to without the proper funding. This is a shame to see talent going to waste. Think of all of the possibilities that these children could have created for the world with the right education. The United States has to invest in the youth. Keep the chain going to better the standard of life. That 's what the future is all about. We must improve on our previous generations to make the world a better place to live in. The United States must rehaul the out of date education system to compete with other top nations to give children an opportunity to education with equal funding so they can learn to the best of their ability.
