As a lowly freshman at Neuqua Valley, I didn’t have much of a concrete idea of my passions. I knew I was pretty adept at working with technology, but beyond that, my primary interests were sleeping and video games. However, on a whim, I joined a club called the Junior State of America, which exposed me to debate, civics, and government. I had no idea that it would quickly help shape my lifetime interests. From my first main speech to travelling to Washington, D.C. to debate, JSA has allowed me to find my passion and opened even more doors for me to continue pursuing it.

More than anything, he cannot escape from his own mind and his obsession with his father: “It doesn't make me feel good when you say that something I do reminds you of Dad” (Foer 26).
