" The internet plays a huge part in almost everyone’s life; however, it is important to know when this fact becomes dangerous. When the internet first became accessible to the everyday person, people were overjoyed and in awe at the vast world in front of them. There were so many possibilities that were now available to anyone who had access to the internet, and to this day it is still one of the greatest things we have available to us. Furthermore, it has created countless job openings and opportunities for men and women who have a knack for technology. What one is to look up on the internet is hardly private because there is someone out there making it possible for you to use the internet which means your search history or downloads are not only viewable by someone out there, but also out in the world wide web forever. One important issue today is cyberbullying, a type of bullying that occurs through the internet whether it be through social media apps or over text messages. Teenagers are taking their own lives due to harassment and bullying that others inflict on them, and the internet makes this easier by allowing the bullies anonymity. What are the laws that prohibit this type of bullying? And is it Constitutional to access the records of this bullying? It is sad to say there aren’t many laws about this issue. There are more issues about protecting the privacy that people feel is important compared to the issue of protecting these children who are privy to the harsh words and actions of cyberbullies. The Fourth Amendment is used as the basis for protection of privacy, as well as the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act. The latter keeps at bay the people who wish to get information from other’s computers by hacking into the mainframe
