In today’s technologically advanced society, it has become increasingly feasible for politicians to connect with voters thanks to the instant access that Twitter, Facebook, and other social media platforms provide. However, this powerful tool must be used to a certain capacity in order for it to be as effective and far reaching as government officials intend for it to be. When used in this manner, social media is easily the most …show more content…
The first theme regarding Obamacare can easily be depicted from tweets such as an October 17th one that refers to the Affordable Care Act as the “product that never had a chance of working.” Or an October 14th tweet in which he described the law currently “being dismantled” because it “causes such grief and tragedy for many.” The official white house page echoes these sentiments and describes the Act as a “disaster” and something that should be “repealed and replaced” by a better, more affordable one. Many have criticized Trump’s overall use of Twitter as childish and “unpresidential,” which is true in many regards, yet when his tweets are oriented towards a topic like healthcare, it is clear that he is echoing the message that white house wants to send to the nation. Trump realizes the limitations that 140 characters bring upon him, therefore he employs polarizing diction like “disaster” and “tragedy” in order to evoke a pathos driven response from his forty-two million followers. His desire is to be the impetus of an emotional response by his followers, which he uses to garner more opposition towards the opposing side of this particular issue. He then utilizes the official White …show more content…
He often refers to CNN, ABC, NBC & CBS news as the “Fake News Media” and ridicules them for their unfavorable depictions of him and his policies. In an October 22nd tweet, Trump decided to express his anger towards the media by tweeting: “46% of people believe major national news orgs fabricate stories about me.” This kind of attack against the press goes directly against the symbol of unity and cohesion that the White House depicts Trump as, and further deviates from the narrative on great
The Affordable Care Act forbids health care wellness plans from inflicting a lifetime monetary value on most assistance received by Americans in any wellness plan revamping on or after September 23, 2010. While some strategies already offered insurance with no limits on lifetime aids, millions of Americans were formerly in health care wellness plans that did not. 21,000 children die everyday around the world from preventable illnesses (Shah). Around 7,665,000 children die in a year from simple diseases. Imagine how many people in all die around the world from the lack of healthcare. Luckily, in the US citizens are fortunate enough to have these treatments available for everybody no matter the financial status. Hillary Clinton supports Obamacare as a whole even if she does agree that there is still work to be done (Ballotpedia). The fact that Hillary understands Obamacare is not working and does not even entertain the idea of restarting shows that she is a lazy politician that does not want to work hard for what the American people want. Donald Trump on the other hand, has stated he is going to repeal Obamacare and introduce a new plan that supports free market and state power (Ballotpedia). His aggressive stance on healthcare or “common sense”, as he calls it exemplifies his determination to do things correctly
Conservatives need to stop and take a look around. It seems as if Republicans have been so dead set on repealing the Affordable Care Act, that they do not even know why they are doing it. House and Senate leaders are constantly talking about reform- but where is the replacement plan? There are a lot of people that are able to afford healthcare because of Obamacare. As a nation, we cannot allow ourselves to take a step backwards.
The United States has multiple health care options such as Obamacare, Medicare, Medicaid, and health insurance through employers or on their own. Most of the people living in the United States, around 70% of individuals, get health insurance through their work or union. Other individuals get insurance on their own or a family plan. Some averages of individual and family premiums and deductibles are around a $280/month premium and $4,120 deductible for an individual, while for a family plan it is around $930/month premium and $7,760 deductible.
But the only thing ObamaCare is doing is making our citizens that were doing fine on their own, now suffer. Obama didn’t even come up with the idea himself. It was modeled after the health care reform law implemented in Massachusetts by Mitt Romney in 2006. This man can’t even think for himself!
Patient protection and Affordable Care Act ,commonly known as Obamacare, was passed in its finality on March 21, 2010 and signed into law by former President Barack Obama on March 23, 2010. Many disliked the idea of Obamacare due to the fact that it was forced on employers to pay for health insurance. It got shut down by the people's views on it quick , Obamacare wasn't really given a chance. Thought it had a great deal of benefits people just choose to focus on the negative parts. In spite of all his political shortcomings, J.K. Rowling should have pumped the brakes a bit before she handed down Trump 's sentence. Let 's just say that things are not always what they seem and Trump received somewhat of a premature tongue-lashing before the facts were known. So, let 's take a look at them -- in the interest of fairness. On Friday, Trump greeted a small group of people invited to the White House as part of his speech on healthcare. Trump dubbed the group, "the victims of Obamacare.
Before the Affordable Care Act was put into work, over 45 million Americans were uninsured. The Affordable Care Act, also known as Obamacare, was then made to help those who were uninsured. It allowed people with financial struggles with the same opportunity as everyone else to have a healthcare plan. Even though the law was passed in 2010, it took a full year of back and forth to get it passed in the Senate. Obamacare may help you get coverage, but charge you an annual fee if you don’t have one.
Free healthcare for everyone I believe everyone deserves to be given free healthcare if they can not afford it. Plenty of people are dying because we don’t have coverage for everyone. More people are needing universal healthcare and we should be able to give it to those in need. This is making us look so bad to other countries.
Healthcare is something everyone needs and should be able to get, but right now that is not happening. In America there are millions of people who don’t have healthcare insurance. This is because some can’t afford the insurance plan. There are also millions more who have health insurance, but can’t afford using it. This means that they are paying for an insurance plan, but the deductibles are so high they can’t afford to go to the doctor.

America was waiting to see how professional and poised President Trump would be at his press conference, but the occasion was anything but. When President Trump was not talking about his admiration for himself, he was accusing the press of being disgraceful and producing fake news. "The press has become so dishonest that if we don't talk about it, we are doing a tremendous disservice to the American people... The leaks are absolutely real, the news is fake because so much of the news is fake". In a room full of reporters from various news stations, President Trump claimed that the news is not reliable and lies to the American people by producing fake news stories and continued to bring up "fake news" throughout his press
