Having students taking standardized testing is nothing more than a way to kill them indirectly. The only thing that keeps people from accusing the test creator is that the students kills themselves, not the creator. Every year hundreds of students take the ACT or SAT in order to get accepted into their college of choice and to receive scholarships, but they fail to see the problems with these standardized tests. As more and more people take these tests, the national average score falls causing doubt in the extremely important system. This is leading people to question whether or not the ACT and SATs are accomplishing what they were created to do.
Standardized Testing is a very controversial topic in the academic teachings community lately. There is a very big divide between what students and parents feel about these tests verse what big corporations think about these tests. Is it viable? Does it truly test the smartness of a student? SAT scores have been shown to be effective in predicting a student’s future performance in higher education, the military, and in the work force(Kemmerling). But, hundreds of colleges have already stopped requiring the SAT for college admission to inherit racial and economic inequality(Rocks). On another note, it is said that many parents approve of standardized testing. In reality, only 14 percent of parents said that testing is very important in measuring school effectiveness(Walker). Although standardized tests may seem like a safe and trustworthy option, they really

Whether it’s getting straight A’s in school, being the perfect daughter or son, being a star athlete, or being the most popular, everyone’s always basically been trying to be the best at something. This could start from a young age when you feel the need to compete friends, siblings, classmates, or really anyone. The issue starts to become really prominent the older children get, during elementary school children already start competing to make travel teams for sports, high honor music program, please your parents, get high grades on standardized tests from when you’re in third grade, and have the most friends. This again continues in middle school when girls start

Standardized tests in schools today in Ohio should be stopped because they are causing for teachers to be evaluated by the test results of how the students do on the tests, they are having the students more stressed about school and do they benefit you in colleges and university and do they really look at how well students do on them test.

With all the work and pressure they consume on a daily basis, it is astounding that they get through it. All these issues in their life essentially make it harder for them to take these tests and like the name states it is standard.

Some people are second guessing about attending college.
Standardized Testing, people think that it should not be allowed in schools. But why shouldn't it i mean people need to have education in their life at some point, why not start them young and then they can just graduate then they can be done for their life unless they go to college that’s a whole different story right there. But anyways do you think we should have standardized testing why or why not? People just complain and complain and i'm sorry to say no one will get their way only because it's the law for us to do the standardized testing.
A better way is out there and it holds the key for future generation’s schooling success. Standardized Testing; something Students Should Not Take “Testing leads to failure, failure leads to understanding,” quotes an unknown author. Students should not have to take standardized test for many reasons. For starters, testing takes up too much learning time, many tests are unnecessary and testing does not give students enough time to prepare. These are reasons why many schools have practically gave up on standardized testing. Which as many students can agree, that R.M.S should do the same.

For some, doing poorly could keep them from graduating, could keep them from moving on to the next grade level, or could keep them from being on grade level.
