(6) Although some ingredients are dangerous in sunscreen, sunscreen does way more good than bad. High factors of sunscreen prevent bad burns and give you a way lower risk of getting skin cancer, it is efficient and not expensive and keeps your skin healthy. Sunscreens limitations are little , of course it wears of and some UV rays do reach the skin, it is definitely better than wearing no sunscreen where your skin gets burnt and damaged and in extreme cases can get skin cancer like melanoma which is an extremely dangerous cancer. My concerns for the future of sunscreen is that people will add more and more chemicals to try make a stronger and better sunscreen and end up making a sunscreen that protects you from the sun but gives your skin new dangers just as bad as being exposed to the sun's UV
In most common cases spf sunscreens are from 15-50 spf, as well as in makeup, if you wear makeup, try buying one with spf product made into it. The higher the spf number the more skin protection you receive in return, even though there 's not much of a difference between the spf’s it’s still worth getting the higher spf product if you are planning to stay out in the sun for a long period of time. “SPF 15 blocks out 93% of UVB rays, SPF 30 blocks out 97% of UVB rays, SPf 50 blocks out 98% of UVb rays” -Badger Healthy Body Care 2.
Also, there's a limit of protection that melanin can provide and that limit is higher in people with darker skin. The problem with someone's skin "getting darker" is there can be some damage that is being done. Some of the damaging effects of UV radiation is it can damage you're DNA, it can promote burns, and most commonly it promotes skin cancer. There are pros and cons about your skin getting darker, but I'd say it's safe to say wearing sunblock is always a good thing. My skin is darker because the melanocytes in the basale layer of epidermis are producing melanin to try to protect me from the harmful UV rays of the sun.
Some are sunscreens because they have chemical components that will absorb the sun's rays while others are sunblockers that actually repel rays. This lotion is a sunscreen that allows the sun to brown the skin without burning it. The SPF 4 lotion will not block or repel the sun except when it comes to sunburns. You'll need to reapply often if you want more protection. It's a great sunscreen for times you want to bake in the sun and deepen your current
The UK Cancer Research Center recommends getting enough safe Sun exposure daily for 15 minutes between 10 a.m and 2 p.m. A person with a dark skin tone may require 90 minutes, while the elderly require about 30 minutes (Vitamin D, 2015). B. Until now , Society has been misled by the beauty industry that the Sun is dangerous and that it causes Skin Cancer. We need UV light to produce vitamin D. But extended amount of exposure may cause some health problems. Only a small layer of ozone is standing between the harmful UV rays and us. The ozone layer absorbs the light rays, which causes a reaction to occur. This reaction is the reason why the ozone has three oxygen atoms. But still %3 or less amount of radiation can pass through the layer, which can cause sunburns and skin

Introduction As we already know UV (aka sunlight and artificial UV lighting) can cause forms of skin cancers. It seems to be common sense now days but we really don’t know how or why specifically and we also don’t really know what preventative measures actually work. As we grow up every day we expose ourselves to sunlight but unless we are going out to the beach or pool, we don’t take preventative measures to keep our skin safe from radiation and some are even attempting to do the complete opposite for beautification. After reading a few articles and doing some research on my own I have reached a valid argument to explain a few reasons why preventative measures need to be taken. In this essay I will first explain how radiation is bad for you skin and why we need to take these measures to fight for our lives.
