That means that the people who are looking for the leader trust the leader, has the compassion for the leader, and hope for their leader. Another reason why people are naturally inclined to look for a leader is because they do not like taking care of themselves. So people are naturally inclined to look for a leader, it just take time for that one person to become the leader. First of all, why do people trust in the leader? People trust their leader because the leader keeps on not give up.
America, known as “the land of the free and the home of the brave,” is a country recognized for it’s freedom and rights. As a country, at almost every turn, America has shown it’s responsibility and priority towards it citizens. Specifically, with the opportunity to vote. Being able to vote for presidents, senators, and governors is a very strong right that Americans hold in their hand and for many others in neighboring countries, this can be a sheer dream. Recently, Ohio passed a new law, stating that citizens who did not regularly vote for four years and were unresponsive to any kind of sent notice, would be removed from voting rolls; therefore, the name, “Use it or Lose it.” This is unconstitutional and should not only be revoked, but a new program should be enacted to address certain issues that were addressed under this “purging” law.
Elections for President of the United States are coming up soon, and I could not be more excited. However, with Donald Trump predicted to win the Republican nomination, and possibly be our next President, I feel that it is more important than ever to vote in this election, and to vote wisely. As a democrat, I feel it is important for me to vote in an intelligent way, considering that we only have three candidates in the running. In the election, I plan to vote for Hillary Clinton. If she doesn’t win the nomination, I will vote for Bernie Sanders.

Some of these rights were gained through tradition and time. The woman’s right to vote was added to the amendments to give women equal rights. As Americans, we also have responsibilities, stated in the Constitution. We have the responsibility to vote in the elections. We also have the responsibly to follow all the laws the government makes.
The right to vote is a crucial means of recognizing equality in society, a person's equality before the law, and is a way of protecting all of one's other rights. If a person is not allowed to vote, he or she does not have the same chances to make changes to society, or to improve laws and policies affecting their lives, on an equal basis with others in society. The same is true if one is not allowed to be elected. This relegates the disenfranchised person to a position of subjugation to the rest of society. The protection of other rights falls away when persons are deprived of the right to vote.
Though most countries do allow voting, certain countries such as Russia, Cuba and North Korea have a predetermined ballot - they have voting at face value but the voting of the citizens tends to have no influence whatsoever in who leads their country. Women especially should be thankful for this opportunity considering a century ago, women petitioned, marched, were arrested, went on hunger strikes, boycotted censuses and even died because they believed in the fundamental importance of the right to vote; women of today owe it to them to not squander their sacrifices, but to make full use of the right that they fought so hard for. Citizens of the United States are exceptionally lucky and should be incredibly grateful that they have the freedom vote as well as to have influence over their country’s government considering that few countries do not have the same freedom of choice like American citizens
We have grown as a nation whose fundamentals are unlike any others. Being a citizen in the United States is more than a birth certificate or document that verifies that you are. Whether you were born a United State citizen or chose to become a citizen the same rights will stand true. Right of freedom of expression, religion, fair trial, employment, to vote or to run for elected office and the right to pursue “life liberty and the pursuit of happiness”. This is what makes United States Of America so beautiful to so many others not just to those who were lucky enough to be born here.
In America, one of the best ways we can voice our opinions and contribute to society is by casting a vote. Local, state and national elections allow citizens to participate in the shaping of our future. The youth of America play a big role in this country, as we are the future. However, the participation of young people in the voting process is absent in recent years. Martin P. Wattenberg discusses this topic in Is Voting For Young People, a compelling text which dives into the possible reasons young people feel less and less inclined to vote over the years.
“We always hear about the rights of democracy, but the major responsibility of it is participation.” (Marsalis). Politics influences almost everything we do in our lives and how we do it. Therefore, political participation in the American government, a democracy, is the best way to be the change you want to see in your community and in your country. One small yet important and effective way to do this is by contacting your government and voicing your opinions, and when I wanted to raise the issue of immigration reform for the DACA recipients, I researched the issue, wrote a letter, and sent it. Immigration is one of the most hotly debated and relevant issues that our country faces today, and it has been for many years, and within the same topic is the issue of DACA.
