Trying to decide what career or job choice you want for your future is a tough decision to make. One day you might want to become a nurse, and the next day, you will want to become a veterinary technician. This is the situation that I went through in the past year, and all I can say is that going to school to become a veterinary technician was the best decision I have ever made regarding my future. I am excited and more ambitious toward my career than I ever have been, and I’m here to tell you why becoming a veterinary technician is an amazing choice to make!
I want to become a Veterinary Tech because I love animals and I love taking care of them. I’m a people person and I enjoy working with the public. Recently, I moved into a neighborhood with a lot of elderly neighbors; I started helping them take care of their dogs. I would get up in the morning and walk their dogs before I left for school. Than when I came home in the evenings, I would walk their dogs again. On a day to day basis I walk three dogs or you can say they walk me. As a child growing up I had several small animals (dogs, cats, fish, and a hamster). I grew up in a family of nurses and after hearing stories about how evil some sick patients can be verbally, I knew then that I wanted to become a nurse for animals instead of humans

When trying to decide on a career path, a veterinary technician is a good choice for those who enjoy working with animals. It allows people to pursue their passion and also earn a comfortable living. The job of a veterinarian technician is much like the job of a nurse to a doctor. A veterinarian technician assists veterinarians with duties such as surgery and carrying out the orders they have prescribed. There are many areas available to a veterinarian technician such as working in research laboratories, zoo research as well as in wildlife. Additionally, veterinary technicians could work in laboratories or performing x-rays (GlobalPost, 2016).

As communication plays a distinguished role in hospitals and veterinary offices, so do interpersonal relations and interpersonal communication skills. Specifically, the job of a veterinary technician requires successfully communicating with clients, as well as staff either in hospital or veterinary office. Moreover, the specific feature of work these specialists is they should associate with one another or with clients on a regular basis. Certainly, communication may and does take place on an informal level, after the working day. The described connections make the notion of “interpersonal relations” an exceptionally important aspect of life within a hospital or veterinary office. My goal in this paper is to discuss the impact and role the
When people grow up, they always dream of being successful and becoming something important, such as a doctor or a nurse. My childhood and present-day dream is to become a Veterinarian Technician. I chose this occupation because of my passion for animals and my big heart. This career consists of multiple tasks being asked of the person, and being able to multi-task and have multiple skills.
Some people go to college knowing exactly what they want, others do not have a clue. On the average students change their majors three or more times before they graduate. Since I am in undecided person, selecting a major was a difficult decision to make. Before I attended college as a freshman, I wanted to figure out which career fits me the most and would give me passion every day. Most of my life I have loved and cared for different kind of animals, as well as devoting myself wholeheartedly to their well-being. While getting my future plans together, choosing to be a vet technician would allow me to work with animals, help people with their pets, and get qualified quickly. I realized that becoming a vet technician would be the best choice because I have always had a love for animals.
Fostering animals, why should anyone do it? The short answer is that it will save lives. To expand, animal shelters all around the United States have suffered from overcrowding at one point or another in their business. When that occurs, they have two options: either turn away the new animals being dropped off at their doorstep or euthanize those who have been in the system for “too long”. When you choose to foster, you’re assisting in both traumatic issues. Firstly, any new animals dropped off in the shelter system can skip the entire stressful process of shelter life and go right to you. Secondly, taking in that animal that needs an extra boost to understand what it is like to be in a loving home environment, something that they may not have been able to receive in the shelter, may turn an “unadoptable” pet around. Animals who have been shown this kind of love and appreciation after their hardships, I believe can make the best pets around. I have personally fostered a kitten named Twizzler and it was such a rewarding experience to both myself and to her since she is now adopted. Additionally, I got to become more involved with the community as I am now an official member of Conrad’s Strays and have even been invited to multiple fundraiser events and adoption fairs to help more animals in need. Animals help us with so many things, like calming us down when life gets tough, causing a laugh now and again; so, isn’t it time that we give back by preventing them from living on
Nowadays most people with pets know what spaying and neutering is, it is a term used to to describe the surgical sterilization of an animal, spaying for females and neutering for males. There is some controversy that goes with this topic . However, It is my belief that spaying or neutering your pet is the best decision for both the animal and the community.
Working in different settings and meeting new people that need to be taken care of has always interested me. The job I want to have while I go to college is the very challenging role of a Medical Assistant. Due to the experiences that have happened in my life, I believe that becoming a medical assistant is the best career choice for me.
Veterinary Technicians are the people who check your animal 's weight and look to see if there are any visual problems with them when bringing them to the Veterinarian office. I chose this career because I have always been a huge fan of all kinds of animals. I wasn’t aloud to have animals when I was younger so I became more interested in them. Veterinary technicians also have many different jobs other than checking weight and making sure nothing is visually wrong with the pet. They also do dental cleaning, occasionally take blood and stool samples for the veterinarian (Pearson). People think vet technicians don’t do a lot of jobs but adding up everything they do on a normal day basis, what they are required to remember,
Imagine coming home after a tough day and being greeted at the door by your furry four-legged friend wrapping itself around your legs with a smile from ear to ear. There is no doubt that pets bring about bundles of joy, but dogs also provide stress relief, motivation to get active, lessons on responsibility, as well as another reason to smile on a daily basis. We all want the best for our kids; it is obvious that owning a dog has never-ending positive impacts on a child’s life. Owning a dog reduces stress, teaches responsibility, encourages exercise, and provides unconditional love to our beloved children.
