Although officers claim they aren’t as unprofessional as everyone says, many people beg to differ. A lot of people have evidence on how they were mistreated, and how the officers weren’t at all professional. Others have been killed and seriously injured, but the idea is still up in the air after several years. To protect themselves, and others around them, police officers should be forced to wear body cameras while they’re in a case or are talking to a suspect while on duty. Having to wear body cameras would be a positive way to help the authorities to see the truth better than just having to listen to the voice recorder.
Reaction Decisions made by officers in intense situations can be reviewed and evaluated. Constantly wearing body cameras could consider police responsible for their appropriate, and inappropriate, conduct. Imagine how body cameras could prevent cases like Baltimore and Ferguson, where there was no chance for the public to know what actually happened. Officers can no longer make false claims because video recording can be used as evidence to prove them

What officers reported on the study that the camera changed a citizen behavior and begin to settle the confrontation. With more police department requiring police officers to use body cameras, there has been an improvement with police performance with the community. Police use of force has always been a controversial topic and concern with the community. The fact policing exercising their power to maintain peace, justified or unjustified, could potentially ruin their reputation and trust in the public. A solution to address this issue is requiring police officers to use body cameras as they are able to review the video to correctly determine if the action is proportionate to the situation.
After several cases with shaky witnesses and cases that have become national headlines have made citizens at edge with law enforcement officers. The use of body worn cameras to be worn by local law enforcement officers during their shift would be a major turnaround in some cases. The use of body-worn cameras has become a prestige piece of equipment to help better assist the community and other local law enforcement agencies. Moreover, using the body-worn cameras during the entire shift will eliminate the complaints caused by citizens and clear up harassment charges being brought upon by citizens as well. Having local law enforcement officers wear body-worn cameras could clear up a lot of questions they have and would eliminate the daily questions that goes through citizens heads when the turn on the news to see another unarmed citizen has fell to the hands of a law enforcement officer, while his body-worn camera was not
It has been an ongoing debate all throughout the world whether body cameras have a negative or positive impact on community policing. Body cameras are a huge necessity for police officers as their daily duty in order to stay safe. These cameras were an idea that was being thought of before the shooting of Michael Brown in Ferguson, Missouri. Since this incident, the idea of body cameras has grown due to racial protests relating to police brutality. Following multiple police related incidents, people have been focusing more on how body cameras would be something good to obtain.
They have been proven to decrease the amount of complaints towards officers and lowering the amount of police force. Body cameras being equipped on patrol officers would make an easier way to prosecute criminals and bring justice. After the fatal shooting of Michael Brown, the use of police body cameras intensified, spreading to different departments across the country. “The use of body cameras by police officers has begun to receive a good deal of attention from police departments, lawmakers, media, and the public” (5 Ways Body Worn Cameras Have Helped Police Officers). While body cameras can be very helpful on patrols and investigations, on duty police officers should be required to equip themselves with a body camera so they have an accurate description of the suspect, which can lower the amount of unsolved cases, and provide video footage
S could be a possible suspect in the murder of Hae, Adnan loved Hae and he wouldn’t that upset to just go kill her, and Jay kept changing his alibi about what happened. Even Jay is saying that he found Hae’s body in the back of Adnan’s car, Adnan is ultimately innocent because Jay could have took part in the crime somehow and he could be possibly covering something up. What I learned most from this project is that people can’t trust everyone. They can stab them in the back or make up lies but all the lying and false accusations can make people be involved in crimes or tough situations. From what had happened to Adnan, readers can tell that Adnan couldn’t trust Jay because he was telling wrong information the
“I don’t agree neither with the cameras” (Herrera 1). Although there are many people who agree with this idea of the body cameras there are those who do not like this person from the article. “I would be more comfortable if the cameras were used during my arrest” (Herrera 1). As you have read, there are those that agree and disagree. There are a lot more people however that agree then those who do not agree, but there are going to be more cameras used because they are having a positive effect throughout the test they have been running.
The problem can be stopped by these three solutions: body cameras, investigation and different race. Police brutality is a big problem for the community. “In recent years, several high-profile incidents of abuse and misconduct by police have sparked widespread debate over the relationship between law enforcement officers and the public” (Police Brutality.) Law enforcement use self defense exoneration and the basic elements to defend their case. The first problem is the wrongful officers are not being convicted
