As my opponent has stated that it may be inhuman to take a life, but when you use the death penalty you are making sure that criminal or person. who had just died will stay down and their crime spree will end. It is also cheaper a lethal injection can rise up to 1,300 dollars while putting a criminal behind bar it cost up to 31,286 dollars per inmate so now the government can finally pay off the U.S debt of twenty-five trillion dollars and if we don’t use the death penalty it will take 398,879,561 years and it’s with the death penalty and without it and if we only use the death penalty the debt it will take about 12,749 years. There are also many criminals that you should be glad are deceased such as John Wayne Gacy also known as the killer …show more content…

I believe that death penalty is considered to be a cruel and unusual punishment. In my opinion, a life is priceless and shouldn 't be taken away without their willingness. All men are created equal- no man was made better than the other and therefore should not bring death on their life. On the other hand, I think that there are more reasons why people would support the death penalty.
Throughout the years, there have been many controversial cases that deal with justifiable homicide. A justifiable homicide is defined as the killing of a person in circumstances that allow the act to be regarded in law as without criminal guilt. This basically means that someone kills someone else because they feel threatened for their safety or for someone else 's safety around them. The main concept of justifiable homicide stands on a line between an excuse or a justification. In most circumstances, homicides are justified when they prevent greater harm to innocence.
As a new person is born something special has begun. It is the beginning of a life, a song, an inspiration, and a story. Kathleen Barber was struggling with a risky cancer and had died in a severe amount of pain and discomfort last December. Her husband, Jason Barber is a journalist and human rights advocate, he knew that his wife could have died a worse death, but also knew that she could’ve died a lot better one also (Barber). This term has various different ways for it to be known and defined, “physician-assisted suicide (PAS), "aid in dying", "death with dignity", "right to die", "compassionate death", "end-of-life choice”, and many different others.
I agree that the death penalty is inhumane and should be abolished; no one deserves to be killed, even those who have killed. However, I also feel that the death penalty solves nothing because all the government or state does is end the person’s life. This means they don’t get to learn from what they have done; they don’t receive punishment. It is better that the prisoner be sentenced to life so that they could ‘feel’ dead, but still have to live in a confined space for the rest of their lives, thinking about what got them there in the first place. That to me, is a real death penalty.
Death Penalty More than half of all the states had at least one death row exoneration. But, death sentences have declined by 75% since their peak in the mid-1990s. From 1973-1999, there was an average of 3 exonerations per year. From 2000-2011, there was an average of 5 exonerations per year. The death penalty should be abolished, because killers can change, it's not always the best option, and it's inhumane.
Death Penalty According to the 2010 Gallup Poll, 64% of the United State of America are supporting the death penalty, I as an American am part of that 36% that is against it. I do not believe that we as human being should determine whether another person should live or die. A second reason that I am against the death penalty is for the reason that the accused person could be innocent and normally the accused person only has one court presentation and is only judged by the judge not a jury of their peer, and is sent to death row where they pay for a crime that they haven’t done. My final reason that i do not believe that the death penalty should count as a punishment for the American people is because, a person that has done a massive massacre shouldn’t just be able to leave the world just like that without paying and suffering for what they have done, Or should the death punishment continue as it is for it has a great benefit to us as citizens of the United States.
Capital Punishment is the death penalty for those who commit murder. The thought behind this punishment is a life for a life. There has been debate on if the death penalty is right or wrong. Some poeple want the death penalty to be illegal while others argue it is needed to deter crime. There are many valid arguments regarding the death penalty.
Rebecca Page Mrs. Batt English IV/ 3rd hour 1 May 2018 Should Rape be Capital Punishment “Rape is the only crime in which the victim becomes the accused” as sad as it is… it’s true, women get judged and blamed on because of the way they dress or act or use their body language.. When it comes to rape and debating on whether the death penalty should be used. The eighth amendment believe it or not is apart of all this mess. The statistics and percentage are extremely high and insane and I believe that all states should have the same laws and rules.
Should The Death Penalty be legal? Thousands of people on Death Row have been put on for cold-blooded-murder. So this raises the question - Should the Death Penalty be legal? Yes it should there are several reasons why: One: The victims parents/family want justice for the crime,
Let the Punishment Match the Offense The death penalty is an issue that is currently dividing our country 62% to 28% in favor of capital punishment. Capital punishment is the putting a criminal to death as a result for a crime, and this punishment is used in 32 of the 50 states in the US. Today, many criminals are getting away with either little or no punishment for the crimes they are committing. How would you feel having a serial killer on the loose, worrying every second about the safety of your your own life and your loved ones. SWhy not establish the death penalty in Canada? I say death penalty should be reintroduced because so If the person is going to jail till they die why bother keeping them alive?
On August 19, 2011 John Regin reportedly killed his wife, her daughter and two sons ages 6, 10 and 15 in Newport News, Virginia. When we look at this crime the question I ask, should Regin receive the death penalty? For one to support or oppose the death penalty one must first understand what constitutes capital murder and what capital punishment is. Virginia § 18.2-31 Capital Murder is defined as the willful, deliberate, and premeditated killing of any person: (1) in abduction while trying to extort money; (2) for hire; (3) by a prisoner confined in a state or local correctional facility; (4) in the commission of robbery or attempted robbery; (5) rape or attempted rape, forcible sodomy or attempted forcible sodomy or object sexual penetration; (6) of a law-enforcement officer; (7) of more than one person as a part of the same act or transaction; (8) of more than one person within a three-year period; (9) when the killing is pursuant to a direction of a person who is part of a “continuing criminal enterprise” ; (10) When the killing is pursuant to a direction of a person who is part of a “continuing criminal enterprise”;
A new law was put in Massachusetts, saying anyone 14 or older accused of murder would be tried as an adult. Last summer, the U.S Supreme Court ruled that mandatory sentences of life without parole for teens was unconstitutional. (1st source) All but 5 states allow children of any age charged with murder be tried as adults.
laptop or cell phone from the other side of the world. Dare to dream. Most hobby oriented hydroponic systems are somewhere between the two extremes mentioned above. The average, home hydroponic system usually consists of a few basic parts: a growing tray, a reservoir, a submersible pump to water the plants, a simple timer and an air pump and airstone to oxygenate the nutrient solution. Of course, light (either natural or artificial) is also required.”
Capital Punishment According to the article “Death Penalty Statistics,” there have been 1,392 capital punishment deaths since 1976, there are currently 3,035 inmates on death row. This means that we haven’t put many people to death, which isn’t a good thing because having to house all the inmate and other expenses is a lot. Capital punishment has many benefits and should be used more widely. The benefits are more room in the prisons and a fix for overpopulation.
