Ever just dream and dream that you will be someone in life and that everything will be all right, well Charlie has too but reality has something else in store for him. Kids now at days say that they will be something or someone in life but they never are prepared for disappointment and when it does happen they are not prepared. Children think that an award will be given to them willingly however, if we teach them now that there will be obstacles they won't have to suffer and if they do they'll know how to get through it. Now at days there is a lot of bullying in this world and most kids now at days don’t know what it means however, if schools allowed kids to read this book they would learn a thing or two on how to respect others. So my …show more content…
People now at days dress up, act different, tr to fit in with this no existing way of form in which can never be obtained known as (perfect). In the book i'm reading Charlie is judged by everyone no matter what he does and when he does succeed everyone is surprised in which meaning everyone beforehand was having the mindset of him failing because of his appearance. So if this book was not banned all kinds of people would learn not to judge before they meet the person they are trying to know better. At the same time if kids had a young age learn not to judge others by looks than that was so on help our environment and allow everyone to be …show more content…
If we do not stand now, what can we hope for the future we will be leading fools if we do not teach them to love and respect others. We cannot agree if we do not care for what others say, we cannot proceed if we do not know how to begin. so I stand here to say unban Flowers of Algernon it is not bad it is a must read. Well why do you think everyone else is the devil but Charlie the little angel? Now you may think that I'm biased towards everyone else except for Charlie but I'm not actually I'm not even favoring the fact that Charlie is not able to learn certain things because I have learned from a wise person, you don't deserve anything in this world you earn everything in this world.. So i'm just saying no matter what in the world you won't get respect from others they cannot accept you for who you are automatically you have to engage with them and after the fact they will learn what to think of you but at least that way they will judge you for the real
First of all, the wish made me think that a wish can come in a price. Second of all, this event the book also made me think that growing up is not always easy. But how ever maturity hits you, you have to use what it gave you to go forward in your
This book, can relate to people who don't usually believe that they can make a change. That they have no effect on the world. This book, tells you straight up, that if you change yourself, you can change the world around you. This is very motivating, and a very awesome
(SIP B) The reason for the banning of books is later explained by one of the novel’s key adversaries, Beatty, who demonstrates one of the society’s fallacies. (STEWE 1) The books are avoided and burned in order to prevent dispute. Beatty clarifies, “we must all be alike.
Those without self-respect may have begun their life without support from family or friends which lead them down the path to low self-esteem.
I agree with Wallace that we should treat others with respect however, we can be expected to be self-aware and well adjusted every day but that is just living in a perfect world, which is a utopia society. Where everyone and everything remains the same and no conflict in the world, which is impossible to achieve. Everyone is different and have there own bias on what they thing creating several of self-awareness. It is good that some people could be well adjusted every day because it balances out the negatives in the world. Being self-aware enhanced to better emotional regulation and growth toward self-improvement and contentment.
These are examples of some traits a person can earn respect from normally. I say “Normally” because in all facets of life respect is almost always something to be earned and given on a personal level. My personal view is that showing respect is more a statement about us than those to whom we show it. Others may or may not merit our respect but giving others their dignity protects our integrity and honor. We can set limits, but we do not have to stoop to gross behavior to protect those boundaries.
This made me rethink how I look at my life because this story of a triumphant young boy showed me that you can do whatever you want to no matter how much people doubt you. I like the way the author has written this heart wrenching yet
I found companionship in books and spent my days observing and daydreaming. I tried watching the world in Hana’s eyes and did find that I agreed with Hana and that “our society could do with a little less cruelty and a little more kindness”(48). Though what I was exposed to wasn’t as bad as the torture, rape, and abuse that was explored in the novel, I still found out about the things humans could do to one another. This book was an eye opener for me when I adopted Hana’s thinking for the time I read the book. Before this story I’ve read only books like Judy Moody by Megan McDonald, since we didn’t go to the library often nor owned a lot of books.
Although, in today 's society disrespect is more common that is not the case for everyone. Respect is something that people have or they do not; it is mainly taught
It taught me that strength and perseverance can make a significant impact in life. I also learned that forgiveness and the ability to forgive is much more powerful than I ever realized. This novel sucked me into the story and its characters and took me on an emotional ride of highs and lows. Finally, it forced me to reevaluate my previous judgement of the homeless.
Many people at one point or another will face a struggle that can prevent them from living the full and meaningful life that so many of us take for granted. The novel was inspirational as it was a reminder to everyone facing adversities that they are not alone. It is also a call to those are not struggling to help those who are, or who they suspect might
“The Challenges of Charming Charlie” Personal Reflection For this assignment and presentation, the focus was on educating children on or with media. With that being said, my group and I decided to create a television adbreak that focused on conflict resolution for children. Deciding on this concept was a tedious task as everyone had their own idea of what they wanted to do, and narrowing down the collection of ideas was no easy task. As a group, we knew we wanted to present something that focused on conflict resolution because outside of the classroom, the idea of enforcing the importance of conflict resolution is not at the forefront of peoples minds, even though it is a valuable life skill. As well, often times children are first introduced
This book made me think about a lot of things. It made me realize that people’s lives are sometimes hidden from you and you do not always know what is going on. You do not know and
Reading this book made me realize how easily we accept things without ever questioning them. As we grow up, we grow out of the stage where we question everything we see or hear. This might be because we are learning things in school or have access to it on the Internet; however, it is at this point when we start to accept being complacent with the easy answer. Three questions that stood out to me while reading were; “what can a question do?; why are you climbing the mountain?; and, what if
There are many reasons why respect is the key to success. Throughout our lives, we will work with many people. Whether we like them or not, we still need to respect them in order to complete the assignment. For example, a teacher pairs me up with people I dislike. Even though I dislike them, I still have to work with them and treat their ideas and opinions with respect.
