Abortion should be allowed because it is the mothers’ decision to care for the child. A lot of people think this is baby murder, but it is actually not baby murder because if the mother is not happy about having a child, she is allowed to not raise it. Adoption is also considered, but the mother will always think about the baby. If the baby finds out that it is adopted, the child will be eager to find the real parents when it grows older. If the mother has an abortion, the child will not exist any longer. If the mother decides to have the baby, one option is to put it up for adoption. If the mother is not confident about having a child, the child will live an unhappy life, which is sad for the child. “Statistics show that very few women who …show more content…

This following quote explains that religious people strongly believe that abortion should be prohibited. “I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.” (John 10:10, priestsforlife.org). The “they” in this quote refers to the infants that are involved in abortion and the infant that got abandoned. People think that abortion is bad because it is killing an innocent baby’s life. Religious people especially think it’s bad because they believe that God creates new life so God is the only one that can take away a life as well. “Those who choose abortions are often minors or young women with insufficient life experience to understand fully what they are doing. Many have lifelong regrets afterwards.” (Lowen, thoughtco.com). This quote explains that abortion is common amongst females under the age of eighteen and that the women who choose to have an abortion have a lifelong regret afterwards. In fact, there is no woman that hasn’t regretted having an abortion. However, it is a choice that the mother has made in terms of what is best for the child.
