The reason why zoos should not be illegal since others think animals are not treated well but this is not true. The animals are very well fed and zoos make sure of it as they have listed everything out which includes, the quantity, the nutrition facts, and the diet of the animals. It is very accurate since is made by a nutrition team so the animals are fed well on a daily basis. The second reason was how educational it is to kids. They do many activities like a scavenger hunt or a zoo school.
Zoos Should Be Banned Imagine you are five years old, someone breaks into your home, kills your aunt and possibly your older brother in the process of kidnapping you. You are separated from your loved ones, leaving your mother in severe pain and grief. You are taken somewhere unknown, imprisoned in a cell where people come watch you for their own entertainment. This is exactly how animals held captive in zoos and sea-parks feel. Zoos generally hold a variety of animals for public display, also known as “zoological parks.” On the other hand, sea-parks, hold fish and amphibians.
Moreover, animals in zoos are forced to live in a stressful environment and treated badly. Although it is considered that animals should be kept in zoos, keeping animals in zoos is harmful and unnecessary; therefore, it should be prohibited. It is generally agreed today that the main purpose of having zoos is for scientific benefits, such as the research and education. The decision was a good one. Nonetheless, zoos also provide amusement for the visitors to get money.
Introduction An issue that is hotly debated is whether zoos are ethical. Some people think that zoos should not exist, but research shows that zoos are ethical. Zoos give people an opportunity to observe animals that they would not usually see(“Zoo facts and worksheets”). Zoos are proven to be good for many reasons. Zoos are ethical because they provide their animals with a good life, they can save animals, and they are a good place to visit to.
If I have not gotten my argument clearly across that zoos are bad then I think you need to rethink your stance on animals in zoos. Keep in mind that thousands of animals, birds, and reptiles will find themselves far away from home, and once these animals are taken from the wild and are brought into zoos, they never go back. Animals must stay there forever until they die. They don't get to play with their friends and family. They never get the love and company of their fellow species. We humans have the potential to change zoos and ban them once and for all.
If you have ever been to a zoos you would that the animals are happy right? But being in closed cages all of their lives doesn’t sound fun at all right? I personally think that this would not be fun at all for the animals because this takes away there natural instincts of hunting and other abilities. Viviana Peretti an Italian photographer photographed for three months at the Bronx Zoo in New York. She stated that it was a shame to, “transport exotic animals to New York and imprison them for the entertainment of a public that is so often looking for a trophy photo.” I think this statement accurately describes the reason why we put animals in cages.
In addition, they are “educative toys”. To sum up, we really do not know if animals are on cloud nine or dispirited in zoos as we only give them the basic accommodation so that they can be alive. From my point of view, zoos are a terrible place for animals as that cannot do whatever they want or they cannot get stimulated in a natural way. And in my opinion, I would not go again to the zoo and paid for the jail of another living thing. But despite, the real question is that if we prefer to learn and be more intelligent or live in the ignorance with our conscience
Zoos are an unsuitable environment for wild animals and should be abolished. A zoo cannot provide the perfect environment for every type of animal. Also, one of the biggest reasons zoos exist is not for helping animals in danger, but in fact breeding them for human enjoyment.Starting thousands of years ago, zoos attracted large crowds around the world. Because of that, everyone today has seen, been to, or heard of a zoo at least once in their lifetime. From the article Why Do European Zoos kill healthy zoo animals, it says “between 3,000 and 5,000 health zoo animals are killed in Europe every year”.
Does anyone want to be locked away in a cage for the rest of their life? Zoos are for so called "entertainment" to the
Zoos might help with protecting these endangered animals, but it turns their mind into something else. When animals get moved into these small spaces and caged to be viewed by hundreds of people, that might drive them a little mad. Even though zoos try to give animals enough room to roam, fly, run, climb and swim, It doesn’t seem to be enough. Due to this, many larger animals have been seen not behaving as they would in their natural environment. Making their natural instincts become suppressed and even forgot over time.
