The Opioid ban is where doctors are not able to prescribe patients their prescription drugs of opioids that they need. Opioids should be given to all those in need because many opioid alternatives are lest effective. Such as the alternative of therapy, and alternative medicines witch can potentially make matters worse for them. The opioid ban should not be administered due to resulting issues that could occur.
As part of our annual review, this is a notification to advise you that your health insurance plan is out-of-network for our practice.
I am writing you this brief letter because of my concern for the shortage of primary care physicians in the United States associated with the Affordable Care Act. The Association of American Medical Colleges has brought great attention to the fact that the United States could possibly be short 46,000 to 90,000 physicians by the year 2025. 2
That bump you see underneath my shirt is not my cell phone, but my insulin pump. The scars on my finger tips aren’t freckles, but scars from testing my blood sugar over and over each day. I am just your average teenager when it comes to school, family, and friends. But when it comes to my health, I am not so average. I face the not-so-average questions of, “Why do you have a wire hanging from your hip?”, “Do you need to go shoot up your drugs?”, and the best one yet- “You eat salad everyday. how did you get diabetes? You’re so skinny, I don’t understand!”
A cigarette is made up of seven thousand chemicals but one of the worst because it is addictive is nicotine. Once the nicotine is breathed in it is absorbed into the bloodstream and within twenty eight seconds it goes into the brain. There are major problems with nicotine entering into the body. First of all not only does the nicotine enter into the brain, but once it is in there it attaches to a neurotransmitter called acetylene and mimics what it is supposed to do, which is control muscle movement, breathing, and the heart rate. However what makes nicotine addictive is when it released to parts of the brain that produce pleasure. Scientists have recently discovered that nicotine raises the level of a neurotransmitter called dopamine, which is a part of the brain that produces pleasure. Another problem with nicotine getting inside the body is the fact that is actually a chemical and it is used as a bug repellent or eliminator.
The health behavior that I chose to change was improving my dental hygiene by brushing my teeth more often. Specifically, brushing and flossing every morning and every night every single day. My plan was to reward myself with Cold Stone at the end of each week that I successfully brushed and flossed morning and night. Before starting my experiment, I researched the benefits of brushing daily and the consequences of not brushing. I found much information that I already knew and some that I did not. I also researched my proposed method of how I planned to change my behavior which was operant conditioning.
My name is Nur Syahirah Bt Muhammad Shah. I feel so glad to be here today. Firstly, I would like to ask you a question, did you know how many people suffered from the illness because not getting healthcare?

A couple fellow classmates in high school and college were always taking some kind of pills. Myself not knowing much about drugs, I thought they were prescribed. Later, I found out that they weren’t prescribed. My classmates were using them for themselves and also distributing to other students. I never spoke up about it, since I never witnessed the distribution but rumors go around. For example, one time in high school, I witness this kid put 5 white rectangular pills in his mouth, from my point of view I thought that was excessive. The next thing we know this kid is just acting totally different, but somehow he manages to keep a low profile and the teachers don’t notice. Prescription drug abuse is on the rise as we have seen on the news if you don’t live under a rock. Teens and adults have managed to get their hands on these prescriptions. People abuse prescription drugs because they think they will have a better time
Specific Purpose: The purpose of this speech is to motivate my audience by discussing the problems with not exercising regularly, offering solutions to the problems, and showing them different activities that can make exercising enjoyable.
Why is it so hard to say “I am fighting depression,” and so easy to say “my show got cancelled, I’m so depressed”? The first is looked down upon, and the second is seen as more acceptable. Many people misuse mental illnesses and use them as adjectives, whether on purpose or not. For example, people say, “the way you organize the books on your desk is so neat! You’re so OCD!” Or: “She’s like … anorexic skinny!” Or: “The weather is so bipolar today!”
Healthcare is something everyone needs and should be able to get, but right now that is not happening. In America there are millions of people who don’t have healthcare insurance. This is because some can’t afford the insurance plan. There are also millions more who have health insurance, but can’t afford using it. This means that they are paying for an insurance plan, but the deductibles are so high they can’t afford to go to the doctor. This is causing Americans to not be as healthy as they could be. Bernie Sanders came up with a plan that is very different than what is currently in place. Chris Jacobs who writes for the Wall Street Journal said, “While Mr. Sanders claims that his bill would extend Medicare for all, it would instead create and entirely new program while borrowing the Medicare name” (Jacobs). This is the right thing to do because right now the system needs help, and a big change is the best way to improve it. His plan includes many benefits that would solve the problems of the current plan.
For many years smoking cigarettes has been legal to smoke in public places. Would you allow this to continue even knowing the harm and dangers it can bring people who smoke and even people who don 't? Imagine being in a nice family friendly park on a sunny, summer day. There is grey disgusting cancerous smoke through the air you and your loved ones breathe. I believe that smoking cigarettes in public places should be illegal for many reasons such as the health and safety dangers of others and even myself.
As per the latest study conducted by the World Health Organization, one billion people smoke worldwide, which constitute about 20% of the entire world population. Cigarette smoking has numerous health hazards however, lung cancer is the most known to generations. Smoking, at the same time, is also responsible for cardiovascular disease and heart stroke. But accelerated aging continues to remain the most ignored and standard side effect of smoking.
