Hello, Ms. Mizolla,
The recent events that have taken place on our campus have gotten me thinking. I love Branson and the students at Branson very much. I want to help in any way I can to ensure Branson is a loving and safe environment for every student. In order to make this a reality, students need to feel they are never alone. I want students to feel like they have someone to talk to whenever they need someone.
I am proposing a new position. I know we have a dean of students whose job is to look out for student's well-being. However, I think if we had two students whose jobs were to aid any student on campus who needed help students can have support from all sides. Branson is tough and often times I feel like academically students can get support but not always socially. In order to make school a comfortable environment we cannot ignore the social pressure Branson possesses. By creating a position for student outreach I feel students can turn to someone who has similar experiences as them and can help them navigate life as a teen on the Branson campus. I think since seniors are expected to lead and have a lot of experience on the campus these students should come from a senior class. So in addition to having a class dean and dean of students, the student body can have two students that focus on the well-being of the student body.

Doug. Respectfully, your either a ineffective board member or your intentionally misleading folks. My finger is pointing directly at the truth. Certain folks within the Chambers Executive team are effectively actin as a financial conduit, funding our career elected officials to promote an particular outside interest in Folsom. My proof is solid.
Brothers, I hope this reaches you well! I am Quejioun D. Johnson, freshman mathematics major education minor from Tifton, Ga. Recently, I was invited to sit down and chat with President Wilson. We discussed multiple thing; one of the main discussion points was " Why does Morehouse focus more on Alumni success rather than, student success. President Wilson and I have teamed to start something here on Morehouse's campus.
Rabinson Shrestha Professor Kashmar ENG 1301 September 25, 2016 Homeless on Campus In the article Homeless on Campus, author Eleanor J. Bader explains how hard the life of a homeless college student is and argues how the colleges are not doing enough to help those homeless students. She gives examples of various homeless college students to support her argument. She also gives examples on how we as an individual or as a group can help those students in need. Bader starts her article by talking about Aesha, a 20-year old student and a mother of a child.
This letter is being submitted as recommendation on behalf of Dr. Cynthia Calhoun and her candidacy for the position of Executive Director of Student Retention and Graduation at Southwest Tennessee Community College (STCC). I have had the pleasure of working with Dr. Calhoun for several years as a colleague. Dr. Calhoun’s resume’ speaks with ostensible volume and clarity for itself and is a testament to her longevity, consistency, and ambition. With over two decades of experience working in the community college arena, as a faculty member and an administrator, her accomplishments and contributions to academe are voluminous.
I’ve noticed that being an African American woman places me below the totem pole automatically, placing two strikes again me. However, as a black woman attending a Historically Black College/University, in my heart, I strive to seek academic excellence and create a lasting impression on the world…starting with the community around me. My traditional values are deeply rooted in love, honesty, integrity and the desire to serve. I strongly believe in “Love Your Neighbor as Yourself”. I believe I have great qualities to offer such an organization
This report illustrates the deeper meaning behind its points and how colleges are not connecting with their students. “Homeless on Campus” demonstrated the effort and struggles that a variety of students face every day and have had all their life. They start by either being in an
At RVEC the only things I know you can get involved in is FBLA, Yearbook committee, and the quiz bowl which are things many people are not interested in. If I was principal of RVEC I would make it so that there are clubs or activities for the people who, for example, like fashion, video games, sports and people who may like doing makeup, etc. I would set these clubs up so that the students could express their self by doing things that deal with something they might like or enjoy. This would make RVEC better because RVEC is already known for its variety of students and their uniqueness and having clubs could be another way for RVEC to show just how unique they really
Over the weekend I interviewed a Platteville RA (Resident Assistant), because they generally have good advice to incoming classes. RA’s deal with any problem on their wing or the whole building when on call. Zach Hahn is the RA on the eastside of Southwest Hall on floor three. Scheduling an interview with this popular man was challenging, although the interview was brief he shared some valuable information. Incoming freshman should know what happens when a student must be written up, why the first month of school is the busiest time, and lastly what is the best part about being a RA.
This was my life throughout my high school career. At Drake I've met students who have advised me that it's not my job to educate people on issues they aren't familiar with. I also get that same message from Drake when they send out surveys to tackle diversity, religion and political beliefs. Through those surveys Drake gathers information on how students feel in their classrooms and if are inclusive to everybody. Recently I took a survey specifically for the school of journalism and mass communication that focused on the environment of the school and how the school can become a better place for students.
During my search to better my experience in the social service field, I was told about an opening position for Student Success Coaching at HPHS. Since working with youth in the social services industry is exactly where I see myself in the future, this position is very enticing and fits perfectly with my skill set. I am very passionate about working with the youth that needs more attention than others, since I was a foster child myself. I can relate how it is to be misunderstood in and out of school. Though I don’t have any formal experience on my resume, I am looking for that first opportunity to dive in and do what I love while I continue to study at Eastern Connecticut State University.
Okonkwo, We have known you as a great leader, a great person for a long time. But what you have done is unacceptable, something the town cannot allow. Thus, we have decided to kick you out. I will elucidate this for you in this letter. It is strictly forbidden to go against your town by killing another member.
In undergrad I was the membership coordinator for a university club called Best Buddies for two years. In case you are unfamiliar with this organization, Best Buddies is a student-run campus club that pairs individuals with disabilities (primarily those with mental deficits) with college students to integrate them into a community outside of their home setting. As the membership coordinator I was in charge of keeping track of all college student members, as well as the “Buddies” who attended events with parents, healthcare aids, or through connections with Goodwill. I was required to make sure and help individuals schedule and organize outings with their assigned Buddy, make sure Buddies were treated appropriately by college members, and plan
The committee would have the responsibility of connecting with agencies that serve homeless youth. By creating these connections, the committee personnel could serve as a linkage between homeless students and agencies. For example, linking students with agencies that provide shelter or connecting them with agencies that can provide food. Essentially, this committee will ensure that the unique needs of this population are met in order for them to thrive in higher
Last week, we had the pleasure of sitting down and talking with Julie Nickerson, a Junior at Simmons College. Nickerson is currently pursuing a double major in Business Management as well as Public Relations, Marketing & Communications and a minor in health care management at Simmons. Nickerson has built her career over a variety of roles ranging from interning at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts last summer, to currently working for Simmons College as a Student Worker in the Academic Programs Office. We wanted to get to know Nickerson more, so we asked her a couple of questions regarding her college decision and life post-graduation: Where did you grow up?
Yusuf, don’t get angry! Let’s think quietly. Think quietly while the death squads continue executions at the Nahrawan ! Think quietly while our effort in succeeding to overthrow the dictator will go in vain! Think quietly …
