CHILD MARRIAGE SCHOOL BE BANNED
Somewhere in this world, a young girl is getting married to a man twice her age. At a very young age, she is expected to submit herself to the person she will spend the rest of her life with. I ask everyone in this room, how do you expect a child to commit in a relationship? to commit in a marriage? Ladies and gentlemen, madam chair child marriage should be banned and should never be tolerated. Why? Because first and for most children should be given the freedom to have a childhood for themselves.
A child 's childhood plays a vital role in their development as a human being. This dictates what they ought to be when they grow up. According to www.child-encyclopedia.com “the emotional, social,

“We protect the innocence of children because children are very sensitive and are easily impacted by trauma. There is a progressive way of slowly introducing children to difficult facts of life. Parents must protect their childrens’ innocence so that the progression of information can be conveyed in a manner which is not as upsetting, fear-causing, or traumatic. The innocence of a child is protected so that they grow up as naturally unaffected by preventable unwanted inputs as possible” as stated in an article at www.quora.com . Children should grow up in a friendly environment where they can develop themselves and build character and potential. They must grow up surrounded by the love of their parents and not by the person whom they are suppose to spend the rest of their life with. We must prevent them from scarring themselves from a traumatizing experience so they can live a life where they can play and learn and do things only a child can do. These children are not capable of facing the worlds reality at this very young age. These children are the future generation that will be leading the next generations to
That isn’t how kids are supposed to live during their childhood. They should have fun and make friends and live life how it should be lived when you're a kid. All of that was taken away from them at a very young age. Live in the eyes of new children was nothing but horrid punishments and
Children should be enjoying life and dreaming of the future. Kids should be happy. They should have no fear of death.
Some people might argue that a child’s upbringing forms the child’s foundation of life. It forms the child’s identity and its view of life. The upbringing of children is a wide concept because it is never the same. The question is if there is an edge between upbringing and torture. The intention of upbringing is indisputable – you want your children to have a great life and a great future, but perchance certain ways of educating children can cause more damage than good.
Children are like a plain paper who can be easily influenced by the environment of their living. The environment can affected the pattern of change in emotions, personality development and social relationship between people. In fact, the children purposely try to develop a better understanding of the environment and explore the world to fulfill their curiosity. At early stage, emotions are personally responses to the environment of surrounding, it can be pleasant or unpleasant that someone usually experienced cognitively, come along with some form of physiology arousal and usually expressed in some form of behavior or action which can be seen. The children, not that they asked for it, are dealt the bad hand by fate. It is up to them to decide what to do about it or even to do anything at
Why Chinese Mothers Are Superior Child upbringing has always been a topic of conflict. Especially in the late-modern society where terms such as ‘curling children’ and ‘helicopter parents’ are often used in the media, to describe overly spoiled children and parents who are overly protective towards their children. There are loads of discussions about if one should hover over their children to ensure their physical and mental wellbeing while having gotten too soft when it comes to standing one’s ground regarding possible consequences, or if children should have a stricter upbringing with less say in any matter. Chinese Amy Chua, who is resided in America where she is a professor at Yale Law School, discusses this subject in her article “Why
Some of these children may not be old enough to have a voice or they just are too shy. By having those in society aware of the signs and symptoms of child abuse we are hoping to break down the cycle. Some parents may not even believe that what they are doing to their child is a sign of child abuse but it could be something that has been passed down from their parents. What parents have to remember is that there are many ways of parenting around the world, this does not mean that anything goes, as long as it’s “cultural”, parents must adapt to what is acceptable in the dominant culture around them (Pennsylvania Family Support Alliance website, 2016, para.
This was really heartbreaking for me because as someone who wants to do child therapy, knowing that these children do not feel as if they can release their emotional pain and that they deserved such treatment was shocking. However, this helped me see the importance of therapy all the more and why Herman emphasizes on building a safe and healthy relationship between the therapist and the patient. Dr. Judith Herman’s book Trauma and Recovery allows for the reader and future therapist to understand the difference between PTSD and C-PTSD. The diagnosis of both traumas may seem to fall
In Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet, Lord Capulet, Juliet’s father, decides that no matter what Juliet says she has to marry Paris even though she’s already married to the love of her life, Romeo. Getting married for a young person is the biggest life-changing event of their life and an important decision. The type of marriage a person has is mainly based on culture. Arranged marriages have evolved over time and are still in use today for certain people. Arranged marriage from the parents of a child is a bad idea because it may turn into a money pit for both spouses, it may restart old family feuds from the past, and it is unfair for a child not to be able to pick their own spouse to marry.
Development is a gradual and continuous process. The development of children is greatly influenced through interactions with the family, friends and culture. Children learn from seeing how they are treated, overhearing the interactions of the people around them and observing the things we do all throughout the day. Fully understanding how children grown and change over the course of childhood requires us to look into various child development theories such as psychosocial, cognitive, behaviourist and ecological theories, to name a few.
In the early childhood context, teachers are handling the ages 0-5, therefore we observe the beginning of a baby's use of senses and movements to explore the environment around them and then further on recognising the development of children's categorising of symbols. As a teacher, I have personally seen the growth of a child from the age 2 till 5 and the progression of starting to crawl and beginning to walk, classifying similar objects under one name to separately identifying items, this development can be seen as being influenced by the environment the child was in and those they were interacting
Marriage strengthens the family bond, especially when a child is being born into the family. Like the saying goes, “it takes a village to raise a child.” The point mentioned in the video was marriage without consent would only lead to undesirable consequences. If one has decided to settle down with the partner of choice, it is without a doubt that the family will have a say regarding the marriage. One must ensure to be competent in taking care of the partner of choice as the family entrusts the responsibility to the individual.
Childhood is way better than adulthood. Being a child comes with little stress and you have ten times the fun you do when your an adult. When you are a child you can enjoy life and have fun with your friends and you don't have to worry about paying bills. Children won't have to worry about trying to support their family. They just have to worry about being a kid and having fun playing with their friends.
In efforts to completely eradicate child marriages within its society, the Government of India enacted the 'Prevention of Child marriage Act 2006 ', which replaced the earlier legislation of 'Child Marriage Restraint Act 1929. ' This new Act is makes it possible to prohibit for child marriage, protect and provide relief to victim and enhance punishment for those who promote or are invovled in such marriage. It is important to remember that arranged marriages in places such as India and countries in Africa often involve a dowry. In other words, the groom and their family will pay the bride’s parents for the hand of their daughter. This leads to fathers marrying off their underage daughters to
