HAVE YOU EVER FELT LIKE A FOOL BEFORE?
Sounds strange, isn 't it? To ask if you 've ever felt like a fool before. Have you ever felt so disheartening with your heart splitting into pieces or shred into fragments over a situation you can 't explain how it came about? You see others do all the wrong things but have amazing results to show for it yet with all your goodness and apparels of integrity, there is no evidence to show you have the backing of providence. In sheer dubious belligerence, people tussle to succeed and do all within their jurisdiction to make a mark and engrave their names indelibly on the tablets of history while you, in sheer sincere benevolence coupled with altruistic kindness cannot boost of any renowned success. The path Wale Soyinka followed was quite different from that of Achebe 's and Late Prof. Dora Akunyili 's. Whatever God has assigned for you has a particular path you need to follow to achieve it....the path could be wide or narrow, it could be rosy or filled with pain, it could be famous or outright shameful, it could be stricken with poverty or bound with affluence.... no one has the right to chose his / her path. I don 't have the right to choose mine, neither do you. Joseph being the favourite and most loved in the family wouldn 't have chosen slavery in Egypt if presented with a choice but God wanted to take the glory of turning a slave bound and forgotten in jail becoming a Prime Minister in a strange land. Left for Moses, he was comfortable as Pharaoh 's adopted Son, skilful in the mastery of Egyptian laws but a day came, he ran into the wilderness for safety and lived in the wilderness for 40 years before a Moses who can boldly stand before pharaoh immerged. 40 years of dwelling in wilderness prepared him for another 40 years of leading the Israelites out of Egypt through the wilderness. At age 17, David killed a Lion and a beer. These prepared him ahead. David never knew an uncircumcised Philistine would rise someday to torment Israel, neither did he know God has trained him using Lion and beer for futuristic …show more content…
Don 't measure someone 's level of success with that of their mate. The level of drilling, breaking, shrinking, mending and softening God gives one is directly proportional to the Mandate and ministry ( life purpose ) he wants one to venture into and achieve. Sometimes, He breaks every form of pride in a person and processes such individual just for him/her to acknowledge the supremacy of his elshaddainess. King Nebuchadnezzar had to be a beast for 7 years for him to acknowledge the place of God in his life. God is still breaking people using several methods, all for the purpose of perfecting that individual
I still reiterate my question....."Have you ever felt like a fool before?". Especially when you know you always stand for what is right, invest your very best in pursuing a particular endeavour but the outcome totally beat below your imagination. If you haven 't yet, I bless God for you. As for me, I 'm feeling like one as I write this....Am like one whose healing wound is injured afresh But my solace rests on the fact that in due time, "THE END DEFINITELY WILL JUSTIFY THE MEANS" because the Earth is of the Lord
According to 1 Samuel 17, David wasn't a trained soldier, but he still fought the giant Goliath. Once David
David finally got the adventure he had dreamed about. David requested surveying instruments such as a brass sextant, compass, watch, almanacs and notebooks to record calculations instead of the usual clothing given to the people in his
According to the scripture, the Israelites were in slavery for 400 years before reaching freedom and the promised land. “Know for certain that your offspring will be sojourners in a land that is not theirs and will be servants there, and they will be afflicted for 400 years.” (Genesis 15:13) When God says this to Abraham in Genesis, it is a foreshadowing of not only their slavery, but his assistance. This leaves the question, why would God allow such an event to happen for 400 years, and then assist the
In the year 1963 of August, Martin Luther King wrote his “Letter from Birmingham Jail” as a response of a letter published in a local newspaper. This letter, written by the Clergymen of Birmingham at this time, caught his attention while he was confined in jail for parading without a permit. This time allowed him to respond passionately to the injustice in Birmingham. King’s letter addresses specific points presented in the Clergymen’s, and his direct approach separates King’s strong points through his powerful writing. King is able to defend these differing views and actions through rhetorical devices such as ethos, logos, and pathos.
1. Quotes/passages: “the wonderful world that the Old People had lived in; as it had been before God sent Tribulation” Page 1 This excerpt is important to the book and in general because it is where David was thinking of the Old people who are considered today to be us in today’s society. It shows that something happened to them in the past (today) which was a nuclear disaster that took place giving everyone some sort of “superhuman powers’ and eventually everyone died of it. 2.
Everyone has their own experiences with this stage of disorientation, and many times in this stage we begin to doubt and question our faith, we can become angry and question God why this trouble would happen. It is a stage where we fill the brokenness in our lives. In my own personal life, I have experienced disorientation in many different forms, whether it was something that I did wrong or that I was wronged by. I was upset with God and I constantly questioned his existence and love, I was confused at why this would happen to me, but ultimately I was alone.
Originally and naturally, there is no such thing as slavery. Joseph was rightfully no more a slave to his brethren than they were to him; and they had no more authority to sell him than they had to slay him. " How can we "that which God has joined together men do boldly rent asunder--men from their wives, parents from their children." Also, "what temptations masters are under to connive at the fornication of their slaves, lest they should be obliged to find them
While the first may lead to notoriety and wealth, it is those who walk the second that will be remembered as
Nevertheless, to their amazement, physical and emotional healings occurred. We as Christians seek healing, but many times do not seek a greater relationship with Christ. This is self-centeredness rather than Christ-centeredness. We are not to live in chapter seven of Romans, but in chapter eight, which is walking in the Spirit. Forgiveness
The theme of Martin Luther King’s Letter from a Birmingham Jail and the play Antigone, both references an unjust in the writings a higher law is mentioned. That there is an injustice in both something that defies the higher laws, laws that are not implicated by men. There is a basis for Martin Luther King’s moral principle, it is due to his Catholic religion and reading of the bible. For the play Antigone has mentioned these Higher laws a multitude of times, the higher laws largely impact the actions that the characters take on the play. The higher laws, what the higher laws are, are laws that are not set by humans or any man at any point in time.
I have experienced many times in my life having a controversy or set back just like Eliezar, and just like he did I had to show how strong my faith still was because in today’s world you can’t get much of anywhere without believing or
Second, David shows the physically small instead of big figure and delicate figure of humans. This is important because he has the ability to beat Goliath even though he is much bigger than David (Allen
I depended on my works for God to be pleased with me and actually love me. I feared His rejection and I became dependent on my self-righteousness. However, God stayed with me and proved His unconditional love over and over. He healed my mind and brought me back into a trusting love relationship with Him. Even though I still struggle with the repercussions of that view, God is working in me and helping me trust Him more each day.
Redemption was the only answer that will stop one’s suffering and gain peace with their internal
