Imagine that you have to wake up early, when the sky is still dark, when the whole village is still silent. After cooking for your whole family, you need to walk for 4 hours to get to school on time, with no drinkable water or food. After all of that, you finally arrive home and your parents tell you that you are no longer going to school because they can no longer afford to pay your tuition. Although you are exhausted, you are devastated because education can help you succeed and have a better life.

Now, just imagine you come from an impoverished family. When you finally persuade your parents to give you a chance to go to school. You walk ten miles to school, lonelily, hungrily and dangerously. You enjoy the feeling when you sit in the classroom, learning. You are full of curiosity about the world you live in, you are so talented that you believe you are going to change your destiny by studying. Then one day, your parents say to you, sorry, you are not going to school anymore. You are a woman and now it is the appropriate time for you to marry some stranger who is twenty years older than you and you are going to have your own family and children from now on. No more classes, no more school, no more education. How will you feel when there is no right for you to make your own decisions?
So for the second part I am going to talk about is the attitude people have towards women’s education. The pressure from the society consequently stop girls from going to school. In a lot of developing countries, people no matter what gender, believe that girls should get married early, at about twelve to thirteen years old, and have children as early as possible. Girls are not allowed to attend school. In their mind, school is the place where it will ruin the girls, strip them out of their identities, religions and their traditions rather than a place for a proper
