4. Sugar
The sugar in the Thrive diet shake is what contributes greatly to its great taste. However, the 2 gram sugar content might not be what you need if you are looking to forego sugar all together. The 310 shake in comparison contains no sugar, and this works as the healthier option.

Before you begin reading this paper I ask that you take a moment to write down everything that you have consumed today, if it is only the morning please write down everything you consumed yesterday. Then, next to all of the items you have consumed write the amount of sugar that those items contained. If you fit the “average [statistic], between 30 and 40 teaspoons of ‘added’ sugar per day” would have been consumed according to data found by the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (Thornley, 2012, p. 52). After reading this data you will be shocked to learn that the recommended daily sugar intake is only 6 to 9 teaspoons of added sugar. You might be thinking so what?
In one study, overweight people expended a day by day supplement of sucrose-sweetened or misleadingly sweetened beverages or nourishments for a 10 week period. A large portion of the supplement was as sodas. People in the sucrose gathering increased 1.6 kg, and people in the fake sweetener gathering lost 1.0 kg. There has been a discussion on whether sports drinks are better than water at replenishing lost electrolytes and fluids while exercising . You always hear in infomercials and magazines on how you have to drink plenty of water in order to continue to do exercise or a sport . Water only keeps you hydrated and replaces the water lost while sweating . Sports drinks on the other hand replace lost electrolytes , quench thirst , keep you hydrated and give you extra energy to help you continue exercising . Sports drinks are a better source of energy and a better way to replace lost fluids .
