Well I am 15 years old; my birthday is December 4th, and I have a wonderful family. Let me tell you a little bit about them. I live with my dad, my mom, my sister, and my two goofy brothers. My dad is a great dad. Every Christmas, we watch our favorite our favorite Christmas cartoons.
Up until the end of eighth grade I thought I knew what happiness was, it was going to school each day to see the few friends that I had, staying up all night on weekends and seeing the sunrise in the morning then being asked by your mom “why are you up so early?” and saying you didn’t sleep.Playing video games at your friends house even though you were supposed to be studying. Going on short road trips up to the mountains and playing in the snow. Playing with your dogs in the front yard. Life was simple, easy, and fun. Life back then was good.
As I strolled on to the bus I thought, “That was the coolest trip I have ever been on.” Hold up! Let me start off where all this began………... “RRRRIIIINNNNGGGG!” The blaring bell had rung. “Don’t forget about the field trip slips, last year was a blast!” Mrs.P, my fifth grade Language Arts teacher, had exclaimed. I couldn 't wait for the trip. We were going to go to the park and have a huge picnic with dancing, sports, playing, all in the category of fun.
You get just as many days off at a year-round school as you would at a traditional school, just at a year-round school, it’s spreaded out through the year rather than all in one big break (The Pros and Cons of Year-Round School). Short breaks gives time for kids to have a better education and avoids kids getting too board over the long break. Yeah, you wouldn’t get to have 3 week vacations, but who does? Some kids say that they get a break right when they need it and it’s refreshing to them and they’re ready to listen (The Pros and Cons of Year-Round School). It would be easier for them to pick up where they left
Its January and I’m sitting there in front of the computer and I’m asking myself, “Is this agood idea? Can a family vacation for 13 turn out good?” Not to pat myself in the back for this but, yes! It became one of the trips I will always remember and hold dear to my heart for the years to come. Ruiz party of 13 embarked on its first full family vacation, spring break 2016. The13 of us packed two cars and went on our merry way.
First semester will be January, February, March, with April as a holiday month. Second semester will be May, June, July, with August as a holiday month. Third semester will be September, October, November, with December as a holiday month. Breaking up the year in this way has been shown to be beneficial to student's learning. With only a month break between semesters, students don't lose what they have gained, as they do during a three month summer vacation.
Camping Trip Wilderness Style When thinking of time management and handling a situation differently, it brought back memories of one of the first camping trips my husband and I took with our daughter and two of our friends. It was for my birthday on a Saturday one weekend in May. There were quite a few hiccups with the trip, and my husband and I learned some valuable time management strategies to ensure that our next trip was more successful. I will describe the trip, and some different actions could have been taken for an especially successful trip. So, one week it was decided that since my birthday was coming up, we would invite two friends to a quaint little spot we’d discovered and spend some time camping and fishing.
