The leading cause of obesity lies in the large consumption of junk food. Everyone knows that junk food is not good for you, but how bad is it really? Well, one of the more obvious things is obesity. Obesity then leads to bigger problems, such as diabetes or increased blood pressure. A lot of these diseases can very well lead to death.

In order to understand what are considered as unhealthy eating habits, healthy eating habits need to be clearly clarified. Liu et al. (2017) gave one perspective of healthy food being nourishments in their most natural state, without any additional processing or added sugars, for example organic vegetables, grass fed meat and whole grain fruits (Liu et al., 2017). There is a good evidence proved that eating a healthy diet can reduce the risk of obesity and illnesses such as diabetes, heart disease, stroke, osteoporosis and some types of cancer. The foods that people consume contains several different types of nutrients, which are all required for the vital processes of human body. Impact and contribution of a healthy diet to a positive lifestyle are according to people’s lifestyle, behavioral and habits. Examples, eating habits, health awareness, physical activity, lifestyle practices, and others that will influence people’s lifespan and lifestyle.

The second source I found was an article that connects protein-based malnutrition to emotional reactivity, cognitive flexibility, behavior, learning, and memory impairments. “Impairments in brain and body development as well in behavioral and cognition are the results of a malnutrition insult, and alterations in learning and memory” (Laus, Maria Fernanda, et al). This means that if an individual does not obtain enough protein in the beginning of their life, it cause cause life-long defects. Both of these sources support the argument that malnutrition affects the behavior of humans negatively.
How many people know that poor nutrition can lead to death? In the present, day young adults lean to categories of food with poor nutrition more than good nutrition, which is so bad for the human body itself. The struggle is hard to convince the young adults about how to keep them on right track, and be in the safe side. Malnutrition is a physical weakness and bad health caused by a lack of food that is good for you (Cambridge Dictionary), unlike the proper nutrition that contains all the healthy food that the body need, which to improves the human body physically and mentally. It’s very important for the young adults to have a proper nutrition, because it will affect their daily life by being able to do anything without facing any health issue obstacles, be safe from many types of diseases, helps the body improves physically and mentally.

We are mindlessly eating away our health with each and every bit of processed, unhealthy foods. Modifying our choices and stretching every dollar the healthy way can reverse a health disease that is on its way. You're hungry and you eat anything that entices your taste buds without evaluating the risks of health consequences in the future. Being absent minded to the chemicals and ingredients in our food are only harming our bodies.
Blaming people’s obesity on fast food is becoming a daily debate. Obesity is a public health issue which needs the approach of healthcare providers and governments. People play an important role in finding a solution for obesity. Restaurants and the food industry are asked to provide people with healthy food that is nutritious. Although the nutrition experts can look at the restaurants’ menus and food chains as based on the nutritional information to compose food that looks healthy, there are many reasons why the consumption of food from fast food chains is not healthy and helps in gaining weight.
