You get out of bed on Saturday morning around 10:30 and go to check your phone. You call your friends to see if they want to hang out, but they all say no because they have sports practice. One has field hockey, one has basketball and others have soccer. You think to yourself if I joined soccer I would get closer to my friends, burn off the extra fat I have and hang out with my friends at the same time! Perfect! Lets just ask my mom…… 10 minutes later…..She said no! And I thought sports were good for me! Kids should be allowed to play competitive sports because it teaches them lifelong skills and lessons, helps them with positive physical images of themselves and lastly provides guidance and helps them with being a positive and socially good person. Frances is a field hockey player for her school team. One day, she got her report card and saw she got a C+ in Spanish. The next day at practice, her coach told her she was off the team--Even though Frances had been trying her best in Spanish. Frances thought this was unfair and ceased putting effort into Spanish. This is an example of how a child could be negatively by the No Pass, No Play rule.
