Field of Dreams is just that, a field that fulfills the dreams of the owner. Field of Dreams, directed by Phil Alden Robinson, is about a farmer from Iowa, Ray, who is out in his field of corn one night and hears a whispering voice call out to him. No one in his family is able to hear the voice, but him. At first he believes he is going crazy until he hears it repeatedly and signs were given to him on the task that needed to be completed. Ray, with the support of his family, decided to do exactly what the voice says, bringing him on an adventure. Throughout the movie he meets several guests, who happen to be legendary baseball players who are deceased. Ray believes he is doing everything for them, until a special guest comes to visit.
Cal Ripken Jr. was born on August 24, 1960 in Havre de Grace, Maryland, Cal Ripken Jr. began his storied 21-year Major League Baseball career in 1981. The "Iron Man" set a record by playing in 2,632 consecutive games from 1982 to 1998, earning two MVP Awards and a World Series championship along the way. Inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 2007, he oversaw a family baseball business and foundation. His dad soon ended his professional baseball playing career and became a minor league manager. His family would join him for summertime stints in such cities as Aberdeen, South Dakota, and Elmira, New York.

Jackie helped presidents get elected, get kids off the streets and into the most prestigious schools there is, and most importantly he broke the black color barrier in baseball. Jackie Robinson is one of the most influential people to ever live, he did things that people would dream about, he stood up for what he believed.
It is not fair to make a hero out of a real person. Some people who are considered “heroes” are actually not very good people behind the scenes. A lot of the time, all we see is that “hero” in movies or on a field, and we never see them, or think about, what they may be doing while they’re not on a field or on camera. Rose attended two years of Italian Schooling and now is set down a dead end path through the vocational education track. Throughout the story you can see Rose change his mindset about school. From school being an importance to not caring about school anymore. In the story “I just want to be average” a young kid is by the name of Mike Rose and shows that a simple mix-up in test scores almost ruined his future and set him down a dead end path.
