It is all about contributing to the society in so many ways. A pharmacy student can contribute as a Pharmacist, Chemist, Pharmacy Administration, Drug Regulatory Officer, Clinical Research Associate and many more. Pharmacy involves both theory and practical knowledge and a complete mixture of these two can lead to an all round development of an individual. I came to realise in my undergraduation that without comprehensive knowledge of the subject, the conceptual skills remain incomplete. Knife and Knowledge are the same thing. They need to be sharpened and polished from time to time. My past experiences in the undergraduation helped me realise that education is a life long process and it gets deeper and deeper when one learns new things. Along with theoretical knowledge, practical knowledge is more important, and to be honest I enjoyed my time in labs more, learning new things and doing practicals. Also, I was exposed to a company level training at Pharmanza India as a part of my semester curriculum. I gathered knowledge in tablet and capsule punching, preparing API at a large level and operating large tablet puncing machines with the help of a supervisor. When I started working at Scio Health Analytics as an audit coordinator for Catamaran, I set goals and objectives on how I could be better at my job. My goals for 2015 when I started working, where to learn as much as possible about Scio mine. I needed to be on top of everything and not to leave everything to the last minute. Lastly, I needed to start gaining confidence by talking to the pharmacies if they had any questions about their audits.
I started wanting to be pharmacist since it was very good profession in itself with a good salary. One other reason being my parents who were both working in the pharmacy gave me convincing talks about that job. So I decided to give it a try that is how I got into the internship program from my high school for shadowing a pharmacist in a Walgreens. There I learned how to be a pharmacy technician. From that experience I received my first pharmacy technician job at Rxperts Pharmacy.

I have taken advantage of a significant educational opportunity by attending a Pharmacy Clerk class at Baldy View ROP this helped me get closer and a better point of view on what the career of a pediatrician or any career in the medical field is all about. The Pharmacy Clerk class that I took helped me learn more about the different medicine there is and what the job of each medicine is as well as for what each medicine is used to treat what. Taking this class helped me alot due to the fact that medicine is one of the things I have to be familiar with in order to pursue my career. The Pharmacy Clerk class helped me to get a better idea of what the medicine world is like. Regardless of the fact that I had been warned several times that I would be utterly bankrupt and end up living in a one-room apartment, or be homeless, I had originally intended to go into an art career. However, over the years, I began to worry excessively about how I would be able to support myself when I amassed a crippling student loan debt throughout my college years. This change in thought was likely due to my family’s own current financial difficulties, and it caused me to start hoping for a job that was financially stable. When I was talking to my parents about my possible futures, my mom suggested an occupation in pharmacy, mentioning that the pharmacists that work at her store have higher salaries than she does.
Having a family filled with nurses and doctors, I aspire to be the first Pharmacist in my family. As a prospective Pharmacy major, what I like about Saint Peter's University (SPU), is that it offers an innovative Pre-professional Health-Related Combined Degree Programs. My school (William L. Dickinson High School) have conducted a college fair at SPU before and I have learned that it provides 3 years in Pre-pharmacy and has a combined degree programs with Rutgers University which will definitely assist me on achieveing a PharmD degree, and achieve my goal.
