Curriculum is the heart of education. It plays a vital role on the development of learner’s knowledge, skills, and attitude. According to Braslavsky curriculum is an agreement among the communities, educational professionals, and the state on what learners should take on during specific periods of their lives. Furthermore, the curriculum defines "why, what, when, where, how, and with whom to learn. It is like a blood that gives life to the learning process. Without it, teachers, classroom, and the school itself does not have essence. Our country undergo to a curriculum reforms in cognizant to the Education for All (EFA) Plan of Action 2015 Critical Task No. 5 to adopt a 12 year cycle of formal basic education. 10533 or known as the Enhanced Basic Education Act of 2013 to lengthen the basic education system in the country to twelve years which composed the of the following : Six (6) years of elementary education, four (4) years of junior high school and two (2) years of senior high school. The Department of Education (DepEd) works with its partners and stakeholders to execute the new curriculum program. One of this is the Higher Education Institutions (HEI’s) like the Technological University of the Philippines, the pioneer in industrial and technology education in the country. TUP produces competent teachers in the field of industrial teacher education for almost several decades thru College of Industrial Education. As a teacher education institution, the college needs to revisit the curricula of BSIE to enhance the skills of its graduates and meet the demands of the new system of education.
