And will be expected to be fully armed to enter the world of works even without a college degree. These all sounds very nice. But if we will yet down to the ground, it doesn’t make sense at all. The said administration has a good intention in implementing that educational plan but no matter how good these intentions are there would still people who would give them a hard time making this educational changes. Why? Because meeting the basic necessities of the Filipino should be prioritized, stable jobs and other sources of livelihood should be made available
It is reasonable that we give everybody a reasonable risk paying little respect as far as anyone is concerned on the grounds that school furnish understudies with fundamental abilities that they have to carry on with a superior life or possibly land average positions to deal with themselves. Besides, on the off chance that we need to diminish the rate of unemployment, we ought to release everybody school. For example, on the off chance that we just permit the top understudies head off to college and deny the center and the low understudies, we will get much more unemployed individuals. Actually, there are 10,486,000 individuals who don't have work by March, 2014 despite the fact that we permit everybody to head off to college. Can you suppose we just release great understudies to school?
“The only person who is educated is the one who has learned how to learn and change.” - Carl Rogers. The current education system has only met simple requirements of the state and does not fully seek to bring out the potential in each and every student. It may find the simple flaws of the young scholars and fix those flaws to some degree, but time can also heal a once broken wing of a fallen hatchling. Simply because this hatchling has wings, it does not mean it has taught itself the ability to fly.
The children in a school are valued, with an environment that fully encourages and celebrates their learning and progression and how they are developing. The provision of a safe and secure learning environment for all its pupils should be provided through recognizing the importance of welcoming diversity and equal opportunities. The atmosphere within a school should be positive, with this being reflected in the attitudes of the staff and pupils, all caring for and taking pride in their surroundings and in how the learning journey of each pupil takes
They agree the educational system needs a big change if it’s going to impact the future of their students. The education system has never changed the way they teach their children. The main priority is grades. If you don't have the grades, you don't make the cut. You're
In Lynda Barry’s essay “The Sanctuary of School” the author gives her personal feelings about the education system and when times get hard the first thing to go from the schools are the art programs and the after school care. She than talks about how her home was not a safe and stable place to live with her brother and she found her school to be a safe haven. I also have a sanctuary and peaceful place I run to when I needs to get peace and it’s my grandmother house.
On the other hands, ignore that someone can learn from different blue-collar jobs. For example, for some people they need school to learn the steps of solving a math problem, but other people can look the problem in figure out the ways it work. Students has two choice in life how to be successful; first finish school have e better job and educated or go straight to work learn from your boss and co-workers. Both of them equality is the same whether some students go to school or work it’s depends on the person to become
In many countries living in extremely poor conditions, not only is basic health an issue but also the lack of education. Although it is a necessity, “more than 72 million children of primary education age are not in school and 759 million adults are illiterate” (Rights to Education 1). The deprivation of education should be taken serious if a change is wanted. People need to become aware of how important education is and the benefit that it has.
The significance of education cannot be stated enough, which is an investment to a better future. Getting an education is one of the most powerful things a person can ever obtain. It is crucial to the overall development of the individual and the society as a whole. When individuals do not have the option of getting an education due to the cost of the schools as well as the lack of schools itself. For those living in poverty it can be difficult to earn the same amount of education as other people who are considered middle or high class.
President Eisenhower, in his address to the country, more specifically the people of Arkansas, discusses the inevitable situation involving racial segregation occurring in Arkansas. Eisenhower’s purpose is to convey to the country that he will fight to preserve the decision that the Supreme Court came to on racial segregation. He adopts a personal tone in order to convey to the people of Arkansas that he understands how they feel in this situation. After establishing that he will do whatever is necessary to protect the rights of the students and connects with the Arkansas people by addressing the fact that his decision wasn’t based on his personal beliefs, Eisenhower shifts his focus to validating the citizen’s feelings of anger and feeling slighted. Eisenhower through logically crafted arguments asserts that he will use his powers to ensure the students’ rights aren’t withheld.
Education is interconnected with every single strand of the economy, laws, jobs, research… I believe that education is not only one of the most important factors in a development of a country but instead, it has a greater significance than other factors. First and Foremost, Education is the foundation of our society. It gives us the power of knowledge and the power of assisting others. Nelson Mandela once said: “Education is the most powerful weapons which you can use to change the world – The Former
I think that the physical environment can play a major role in a child’s learning. If the classroom is very closed off and blocked the children will not feel free to explore their surrounding and become more independent. Ms. Laura’s classroom is very open and spaced out, even though the center itself is built with an open concept and only having half walls to divide the classrooms. She has organized the room in such a way that every though the different centers are clearly laid out, it’s not in such a way that makes them feel enclosed and blocked off from the rest of the room. The environment offers children a variety of different choices all in one area, all of the math, science, and table toys are together, so that a child does not have to search the entire room for something that they are looking for.
The education system produces skills that are not valued by employers, while raising the expectations of those who acquire them. Consequently, the unemployed do not take up existing job vacancies, and employers are unwilling to hire available candidates (Njonjo, 2010). The mismatch is more marked for school leavers and graduates who have just finished school, partly providing an explanation for the high unemployment rate among youth and new entrants into the job market. The suggested remedy is to reform the education system and increase focus on technical education and vocational training, matching them to the needs of the job market (Coenjaerts et al. 2009).
“Earthquakes are unique challenges for schools. Unlike other natural or man-made hazards, they occur with no warning. Schools cannot be closed in advance, nor evacuated. However, with proper training and planning in advance, everyone in your school community can be prepared to react appropriately during and after an earthquake, with appropriate supplies on hand. This lesson provides an overview of school earthquake preparedness and provides resources for use in incorporating earthquakes into your overall emergency plans (Benthien, n.d.).
Education as an instrument of social change: One of the most formidable and potent tool of social change is Education. The society can bring about pertinent and much sought after desirable changes through education and modernize itself. By creating the right kind of ambience and by providing ample opportunities and experiences, education can enable an individual to cultivate and groom himself for adjustment with the emerging needs and philosophy of the changing society and aid in the can transformation of society as a whole. A sound social progress needs careful and meticulous planning in every dimension of life, be it political, economic, social and cultural. Education must be tailored to suit the needs of the society
Malcolm X once said “Education is our passport to the future, for tomorrow belongs to the people who prepared for it today.” In the western world education plays a vital role in shaping our future; it determines if we will survive or fail in the world we created for ourselves. Our world is constantly changing and it requires a society that is well versed in understanding the problems deriving from cultural differences and tolerance of one another’s beliefs and perceptions. With the power of education we are able to deal with the problems of economic, government, religion and culture differences.
