Introduction Background of the study “Time and health are two precious assets that we don’t recognize and appreciate until they have been depleted”. Denis Waitley once said. It is indeed a need to have a healthy body and with that one must be physically active. Mostly, people think of physical activity as an exercise. Physical activity in physical education terms is explained as any bodily movement that requires energy expenditure which may be from low to high and it comes in wide range of activities such as purposive exercise, leisure-time physical activity, transportation-related activity and house-hold related activity. According to the Department of Health in the Philippines (2004), a regular physical activity was recognized as early as the fifth century BC as necessary for healthy living. It is one of the most important things that contribute to a person’s health condition. Physical Activity comes in different categories which are the purposive exercise, leisure-time related physical activity, transportation related physical activity and house-hold-related activity. Purposive exercise is done when the person intentionally go to fitness gyms or doing exercise at home due to a purpose or goal. Leisure-time physical activities are activities such as walking, dancing, swimming, gardening, hiking and other activities done during the leisure time of a person.
