THE PROBLEM-ITS BACKGROUND
Education is life. Since society changes, education therefore must adapt to societal transformations. Education has gone through phenomenal curriculum process, changes, revisions and other recommendations since an organized system of tertiary education was conceived. Albeit David and Kolderie’s (1990) statement that, in the past 100 years, the process of teaching has not changed substantially. This illustrates that several curriculum have not caught the students in an uncomfortable bind as they move toward the future. Curriculum as one of the elements of education needs adjustments as society develops. It should reconstruct and innovated according to the demands of the current community. The revision

The researcher will also include suggestions and recommendations to further improve the quality of prospective physical education educators by educational
Higher education is important to most people, but there are times where it does not take priority. One major issue talked about by Magdalena Kay in “A New Course” is that teachers are teaching to the state test, and not to teach students knowledge. There are two perspectives in this article: one is from Magdalena Kay, an associate professor of English at the University of Victoria, and the other is Christopher Lasch. Christopher Lasch is a historian and a social critic, who does not have an inside sight into the educational system. Lasch is only able to express the perspective of an outsider, unlike Kay who has an insight because she is in the educational system.

The Other Education written by David Brooks identifies how society lacks the studies of non-scholastic curriculum. Yet, he defines curriculum as a broad term in this article. When thinking about scholastic aspects people ponder the thought of school subjects, however Brooks wishes that society would look past the direct studies. Brooks himself writes, “…Such and such classes, such and such grades, and amassed such and such degrees.”
The increase of student-athletes is one reason for the greater job demand. It is also a very important job within the health care system. They have to have a good rapport with physicians and Physical Therapist so they are able to refer the athletes to the proper medical field when necessary. Athletic Trainers must have knowledge not only of the human body and how it works, but have an understanding of sports and its demand of the body. They must be able to communicate with the student-athlete to educate them on injury prevention and injury healing.
Physical education, exercise science, and sports professionals all play a significant role in getting students, clients, and players to meet the goals and objectives of Healthy People 2020 and The Surgeon General’s Vision for a Healthy and Fit Nation. Having a healthy lifestyle starts at an early phase in life. According to the text, “Adolescence is an important age for developing health habits that will persist into adulthood (79).” With that said, in order for them to have that healthy lifestyle they must become educated about the risks of inactivity as early as possible. Physical education is an “ongoing process of learning” that is incorporated in schools so that students learn to use that knowledge throughout their lives and also learn to enjoy doing it.
His other solution involves the certification of youth coaches along with having them sign a “Coaches’ Code of Ethics”. Lastly, for administrators he asserts that they should be trained and certified as well. All three of these are meant to help create an overall better system for youth sports. Implications for sport managers include the theme that only qualified and certified coaches and administrators should fill roles in youth sports. These select will them create inclusive policies for all kids, and with disabilities or not.
Throughout the semester, I have gained a better understanding of adapted physical education and sport programs. These programs provide children and adults with an opportunity to participate in sports they may not have thought were possible. The modifications to sport and exercise allows individuals with a range of disabilities to engage in activity. The disabilities can range from a mild learning disability to a permanent condition caused from a serious accident. While observing numerous individuals with disabilities, I was able to obtain a better understanding of the challenges that came with physical activity.
One of the key to the successful teaching of physical education is the use of a broad range of approaches and methodologies. As it is acknowledged that schools, classes and teachers will vary, some methods will suit particular circumstances better than others, and the nature of the strands themselves necessitates the use of a variety of teaching methods. There is a need to examine the teaching methods which will best enhance the achievement of the objectives, taking factors such as the content and context of the lesson into account, as well as the needs of the learner. Teaching means sharing, guiding, changing behavior, impressing, disciplining, counseling, directing and inspiring. Good teaching is a process of producing end products of

According to the article How Physical Fitness May Promote School Success, children who take part in physical activity absorb and retain new information more effectively than other students who are out of shape. This suggests, that to help students do better in school and in the classroom, they should make physical education mandatory. With physical activity present in a young students daily routine, they tend to have better grades. The article Physical Education Should be a Mandatory Class all Four Years of High School informs the reader that, According to the Centers of Disease Control and Prevention, physical education doesn’t just lower the risk of diseases later in life but also improves focus in the classroom. Introduction of these educational changes like school reform, teaching and teacher professionalism is possible through new curricula. In order to design , develop and disseminate this new curriculum we need a specialized development team but we must be aware that during the era of education reform, effective utilization of this new curriculum lies in the hands of regular teachers. By the actions that the educational system take, when it introduces this new curriculum, it can cause serious resistance to the changes. Resistance to educational change can be defined as students ' and teachers ' affective, cognitive and behavioral specific responses or acts of opposing or struggling with modifications because there is a vested interest in maintaining the status quo(Bemmels and Reshef, 1991; Van den Heuvel, 2009). Teachers resist change when it is introduced to them poorly, when it affects how they do their work, and when they don 't see the need for the changes.
Assignment 1: Curriculum Inception Angela Bass Dr. Melanie Gallman EDU 555 Strayer University January 20, 2018 Introduction Curriculum development describes how a training or teaching organization plans and guides learning. It involves planning, implementation, and monitoring of a systematic process that creates a positive learning environment. It is, therefore, important to design a pilot curriculum that ensures proper evaluation of the content, teaching materials as well as teaching methods involved in the changed curriculum (McKinn, 2008). The pilot curriculum also serves as an assessment tool for acceptance of the curriculum by the faculty and students.
Change is occurring in society at a rapid speed. Change may be described as the adoption of an innovation (Carlopio 1998), where the ultimate goal is to improve outcomes through an alteration of practices. The above saying can truly be applied on the modern education system. The society in the twenty first century is increasingly diverse, globalized, and complex and media-saturated. In today’s world of technology, the olden education system with its teacher-centered approach, passive learning, time based, textbook driven, fragmented curriculum, low expectations from the learner does not seem to cater to the learning needs of twenty first century students.
