Later on, Kurt meets someone who happened to like the same types of music and was able to create a band with bassist, Krist Novoselic (Gould, 2018). When the organizers of the White House event called, Miranda proposed a rap about Hamilton, and they said yes. That evening in May, Miranda and the other performers—among them Esperanza Spalding, the jazz bassist and vocalist, and James Earl Jones—were introduced to the President. In page 12 of the screenplay, we are introduced to Mia and Sebastian’s song, yet the writer tells us that “it will prove crucial to our movie”. If one listens to it, this song has by its a rhythm that takes on the life of a character with its own hope and dreams, but the end describes us how high hopes can just tumble down to nothing. One of the writer’s objectives initially is to make us fall in love with Mia’s persistency towards her acting career, and Sebastian’s hopes of becoming a famous jazz musician. In page 46 of the screenplay, the writer describes the scene with a confused Sebastian after his stage performance.
High School Musical, directed by Kenny Ortega, became a cultural phenomenon post its 2006 release. Underlying in its themes of acceptance and friendship, Troy Bolton experiences a Hero’s journey. High School Musical begins just as any hero’s journey with a call to adventure(1). In a typical call to adventure, the hero is introduced in a state of mundane normalcy when information received acts as a clarion call to leave their life of normalcy and “take up the sword.” Troy and Gabriella meet at a ski resort karaoke night, marking their first duet.

It didn’t take too long for Ella to emerge from the shadows and become a star attraction coming out with major hits such as her first number one single, “A-tisket, A-tasket”.
I decided to interview one of my friend’s older brother, Minh. My friend and I have been friends throughout high school, and I decided to interview her older brother because I do not know him very well and wanted to learn about Minh’s passion of breakdancing. I was particularly interested in learning about breakdancing from Minh because it is the foundation of hip hop dancing, which is one of my hobbies. The interview took place on Saturday October 17, 2015 at 11 pm through a Skype video session. I called Minh on Skype from my dorm room on campus, and he was sitting in his room with a casual, red t-shirt.
Marching band taught me how to love again. A past band member who had actually been right in front of me for the past five years was standing on the sideline that night and somehow I believe that God placed him in my life to show me that my future is right in front of me. If it would not have been for my boyfriend waving at me one year ago, I do not really know how my life would have turned out. When Alex came into my life everything shifted, I actually had something to look forward to every morning I woke.
