Comparing The Pledge Of Allegiance And Anthem
The United States is known for being a respectful and prideful country in the world. In the Pledge of Allegiance, it truly marks what it means to be independent. On July 4th, every year we recognize the Declaration of Independence that was signed in the year of 1776 for the ability to be ourselves. However, in the book Anthem, by Ayn Rand, she recognizes the importance of equality, meaning that every person is forced to act the same way and no one is above or below another person. They use the motto “we are one in all and all in one. There are no men but only the great WE, One, indivisible, and forever” to recognize the individuality of the whole society which they pledge. The Pledge of Allegiance and Anthem mean the same thing, but their purposes for each pledge are very different.
The Pledge of Allegiance states that everyone is equal in their own way with the exception of the same laws that every citizen must follow in order to sacrifice something to ensure our safety. The Pledge of Allegiance is something that people follow so they can live their life as a unity with the rest of the United States. However, the United States uses unity as independence and everyone is equal in their own way, which is shown in the pledge “One nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.” This is said in the

The Pledge of Allegiance expresses the right to have freedom of speech and independence with the help of unity. Anthem’s pledge, however, expresses a different feeling towards unity and independence.
