1. Why do you think this poem was paired with this photo and article from The Times? What do the three have in common? How well do you think they work together? a. I think this poem was paired with this photo and article because they all relate to one another. They all express loneliness, life decisions, and the future. In the poem, the road the person takes will later on effect their future. In the article, the person is lonely and will later on discover what caused this. The photo, shows what may be at the end of the empty, lonely road if someone takes it. The three literature pieces work well together. The poem and photo tell how what may happen if you take a road that many don’t pick. I think this poem was paired with this photo and article because they all relate to one another. They all express memory, time, people, and the past. In the poem, a person will have days when all the memories of someone (maybe a significant other) comes back. In the article, a daughter is reminding her mother about her past because she (daughter) remembers everything about it like a book. The photo shows a family (maybe a mom and two children) bonding or taking a photo. The three literature pieces work well together. They all tell about memories from the past. The photo is old which relates to the article because it could be about an old memory from the mother’s past.
