For this paper I planned on writing it the Wednesday before Thanksgiving, but other plans got in the way and I had to write it the following
I also always do the less enjoyable activates first and keep the exciting ones for later. That way, even if I am tired I will still be motivated to do
Block schedule is school day schedule system that offers four to five classes each day and the next day you go to your other four to five classes, continuing to alternate each day. This has been proven to help students behavior, performance, and reduce the homework load. As for teachers, block scheduling allows them to teach more in depth and help each student individually. Academically, students have higher GPA’s, fail less classes, and there is a larger amount of students on the honor roll when on block schedule. Although our class has never experienced block scheduling, switching back to it could be beneficial to our learning.
First, high school students should not be required to take P.E. classes every year of high school because some kids don 't need to take a p.e. class, children that are healthy, fit and have good habits should be able to opt out of P.E. classes in favor of classes that support their chosen career path. There would be absolutely no point for a student that lives a healthy lifestyle with the goal of becoming an accountant to take a P.E. class every year, it would make more sense for them to take another math related class, or a class they have an interest in. Additionally, if you don 't already have a healthy lifestyle by high school then another P.E. class probably won’t help you. If practicing the exercises taught in P.E. isn’t already a
I was pretty sure they wouldn’t accept my stacks of the worksheet to correct over Winter Vacation after already correcting other stacks of papers. However, they accepted it, and I passed the quarter. During those to two weeks, after cramming to finish all of that work, I’ve learned to don’t procrastinate and immediately do what I
I say that you should change the rules a bit, choose two days maximum of when we can go out and get food of our type maybe a tuesday and thursday or a monday and friday. We should be allowed, we are old enough to make decisions of our own. We might end up getting late to our classes afterwards but somehow and it will be worth it because how many teachers get tired of daily having to be waking up one of their students in class every single day? and by getting the food we want will be energized to actually do work and pay
I would wake up at six in the morning to get my books ready and eat. It took me two hours and thirty minutes to get to school because of the heavy traffic in the morning. Having someone drive me to school sometimes had its benefits, I didn’t have to worry about driving or traffic because I would be sitting in the passenger seat. Also, I would have time to study before a test while someone drove me to school. An advantage was parking, I didn’t have to pay or look for parking, since someone would drop me off.
These are valid reasons on why the School Board should add more hours to a regular school day. If the School Board added one and a half-hours to the day there would be more class time. You wouldn 't have to rush through the last work beet because you didn 't understand ,so you can talk to the teacher about the work you don 't understand. At the end of class you can have everything done and ready to go home or onto the next class. You can have more time to learn, and actually absorb all the information in a days work.
It is also a time to think about what we have learned in all of our classes. We also need to have energy to make it through the rest of the day and participate in class. We need to have a longer lunch time to be able to do all of these things throughout our day at
So far I have it has be very managable to complete class assignments, that is, wih the use of my calendar of schedules and deadlines. I review my calendar at least 3 or 4 times a day just to insure that I am completing not only all my school work but also everything else that I need to accomplish that day. Procasination has always been one of my biggest problems espeically when something comes up that is distracting. I am working very hard to take all possible precauios the prevent me from possibly procasinating any of my school work til the last
William Zinsser writes in the selection, “College Pressures” about the social, political, and economic pressures of going to a major university and how it encourages students uniformity and overachieving. Zinsser states numerous times when students ask for help to balance a normal life, while still satisfying the needs of themselves, their peers, and their parents. While he explains all of this, it is hard to believe that he is not only exposing a difficult situation, but also trying to bring change to this situation. Many times Zinsser explains how everyone wants to take the “right” road, which is the safe, easy choice for students to get them exactly where they want to go in a safe way. Even if that is truly not what they want to do, or what
I am trying my best to keep up with all my classes and to get out of all of them with new information and high grade. In order to success in Spanish 111/181 class, I will spend about two hours outside class for every hour send in class, as well as I will keep an agenda for all the homework and assignments dues to do not forget any. There is a homework assignments and preparation that I have to do before each class; this allows me to create a schedule to when to study and do homework. For example, I will spend an hour each day after school preparing for next class, doing any homework, and studying. To learn the Spanish language, I will need to practice speaking and listening to Spanish, so I will try to contact with some of Hispanic friends using Spanish, as well as, listening to Spanish songs and try to understand them.
I 'm currently working full time however I have a set schedule of hours. After work my available time will be dedicated to my classroom and my son. I 've downloaded the Ashford app on my smartphone in order to access the classroom at anytime In case I may be away from home and my computer. My degree is my priority and my focus so I 've decided to cut back on unnecessary distractions that may get in my way.
Gil Scott-Heron, an American musician, had once stated that “you know what has made me the happiest I've ever been? Seeing my son and daughter graduate from college. More than wanting them to be educated, I wanted them to be nice people. To see that they have become both is just a wonderful thing.” The wise word of Gil is what motivated me to attend college.
In her article “Is College for Everyone?” blogger and college professor Pharinet discusses the value of a college education and debates whether or not it is worth it to pursue a continued education. The author’s purpose for writing this article is to attempt to change a popular societal opinion that it is necessary to attend college in order to succeed. She argues that there are students that are often not prepared for the challenges and responsibilities of attending college, but attend simply because they are expected to. She challenges the idea that “college is for everyone” and encourages college students to question how beneficial a college education is for them personally. Organization:
