One cause of the problem of police brutality is the police officers themselves. Some police officers have been known to put their prejudice in front of their responsibility to protect and serve. Some people use force in direct response to perceived threats from racial or economic groups that they view as threatening (“Police”). Another possible explanation could be explained with psychology. Personality disorders, personal problems, post-job related trauma or simply officers being young and inexperienced, can all explain why police brutality happens (Gilio-Whitaker).
Police Body Cameras When I consider the police I think of how they protect people and our city. Some people assume that cops are just trash and they hate them. The topic of police body cameras sounded like a good idea to me because many people are always filming cops at their worst. When they happen to be beating up on someone, but notice it is always only after the police “agonized” the person then the camera turns off. It never shows how this individual may have been acting towards the officers.
In the commencement of the story Mr.Chiu is a devoted law abiding citizen. He recognizes that the duty of law enforcement is to not only enforce the law for others but it is also to abide by the laws they are there to enforce. Furthermore, He also believes that the police force are harming the citizens by not obeying the law. “He[Mr. Chiu] has trusted that those with authority will operate morally and will honor, even revere, the truth, values he upholds as well.”
Scout alliterates, “Anyway, Jem hollered and I didn’t hear him any more an’ the next thing—Mr.Ewell was tryin’ to squeeze me to death, I reckon...” (Lee,361). This situation shows how much of an enemy and threat Bob is to Scout and Jem. This clearly represents what he is capable of and how he handles situations. This is where the conflict can clearly be seen, a grown man should not be going after two young children, let alone any child.
The media should not only post the negative information but they should research and find the cause of the increased gangs. It is also important for the media to note that crime is everywhere and it is unfair to view Anonymous Community as one fool of criminals. By taking the time to analyze the community, the media will realize that the members of the community are not ignorant of crimes since they also fall victims to the
Therefore, he feels uncomfortable with his coworkers’ violent methods. Soon, he requests transfer to the Criminal Investigation Bureau, always hoping to find more righteous partners and also having learned that it is a convenient route to get a detective’s shield. According to the above description, the occurrence of police brutality is one of the plot and contains one of the ethical issue in this movie. We can see that this issue is not completely resolved.
I was feeling very determined and almost relieved. I was so tired of being afraid all the time. It felt good to do something for myself. The policemen were arrested and took me to the police station. I am there waiting now for the bus
Football fans can call Colin Kaepernicks’ protest treacherous, heroic, or oxymoronic. What really matter is the massage that Colin Kaepernick set behind his protest. Kaepernicks’ protest may have offended many, but it was the right thing to do. Whether Kaepernick protest is loved or hated, the one thing that is true is that it brought more attention on the issue of police brutality. Kaepernicks’ form of protest was not a protest against our American Soldiers, but a protest that stressed on our countries internal issue with police brutality.
For example, if you are walking down the street and somebody starts yelling at you. Now if you return and give that person a smack, that would be a use of force, but is it justified? No. on the other hand if that person is a police officer, you need to listen to him and do as he says rather than running away. The police officer has the right to do what he’s doing rather it is his duty.
Lately this has been happening over police affairs. A person who is typically breaking the law or under suspicion of the police will fail to follow orders and get shot and killed in fear of the police officer's own safety. People see this and feel the need to protest over it. Given a few times the cops were wrong for shooting some of these people who did nothing wrong, but now that it happens more, people feel that they must protest every time. I believe that the main reason this happens is because people become misinformed of what has actually happened and rather than seeking out details
Body cameras help address issues with inappropriate police behavior and police brutality. According to the article, “Body Cameras Worn by Police Officers Are No ‘Safeguard of Truth,’ Experts Say”, One officer in Phoenix, Arizona was fired after his body camera captured repeated incidents of unprofessional conduct. The video shows the officer swearing at suspects, calling them names, and insulting them. Continuously wearing body cameras would hold police accountable for their appropriate and inappropriate conduct. Body cameras could prevent cases like the Ferguson shooting.
The men that were involved were completely out of control. They were refusing to leave government property and resisting removal which is an offence against the law. The third argument that we have is the bonus army breaking the law as hoover was trying to up hold it there were about 1000 marchers armed with clubs that made an organization and were violent in beating people which made it difficult for the police department to maintain law and order except by the free use of fire arms present of the federal troops will result in fearless
