Why is the new Constitution is doing this, because the under the Articles of Confederation, states regulate their own trade and other states tax one another’s products and looks seems like this is a separate nation; and the free flow of goods from one state to another is necessary for America to progress. So this why the new Constitution should be ratified and so this problem could be fixed and change to make us our nation a better
Democracy can also be seen in the United States through voting in some states. Although I see the USA a republic, I can also see how it can be democracy, too. The USA is more of a republic in that we elect representatives to make decisions on behalf of all of the people. Yet in some instances the people choose directly what decisions are going to be made. I agree with the article when it states that citizens today are no better
In Document A, it is clearly stated that James Madison, a main contributor to the Constitution, wanted “[a] compound republic of America” to provide a “double security” for our rights. As both central and state governments in the compound republic have different functions, this helps keep our states in a union while letting the states stay independent. In other words, Madison wanted federalism in our country. Because both state and local governments check each other due to their separate
Like Martin Luther King Jr once said “One has a moral responsibility to disobey unjust laws.” With these words in mind, I affirm the resolution resolved: Civil disobedience in a democracy is morally justified. I offer the following definitions to help clarify the round: Civil disobedience is nonviolent refusal to follow the laws or demands of government to prove a point and the person participating in civil disobedience has to accept the consequences. A democracy is a government by the people, where the people elect representatives or the leader. Not everyone has to vote in a democracy but, the leaders or representatives have to be decided by the majority of eligible voters. Morally is doing the right thing based on the morals of the people
Canadian Government is run on Democratic principles. Democracy means “Rule by the people”. Democracy is when the people of a Country vote for their Prime Minister and don’t get stuck with a dictator. The main focus of democratic Government is to have freedom and equality. Democracy is a large type of government it has three political philosophies, Socialism, Liberalism, and Conservatism.
Justice is our body of law. The Government and the police in america allow us to be able to live our dreams, do what we want, and build something. Sometimes you can’t get the supplies, for example a lot of stuff requires a permit. You are supporting Americanism by buying stuff. When you are voting for a new president, you are using your political power.
The constitution consists of some primary principles. Briefly explain the following principles and their significance in shaping American government. • Self-Government: Self-government involves a system whereby the people of a country rule themselves and control their internal affairs (Vile, 2015). The principle of self-governance ensured that the US could govern itself without influence from the British colonialists or the Monarch in England. The principle of self-government provided the basis for republican governments and democracy in the United States.
My fellow ambassadors I will be talking about comparing and contrasting monarchy and democracy. I will be talking about how they are alike and different. Also, which is better. Democracy and monarchy are similar because they both have someone to represent them. But direct democracy is where the citizens do all the law making and make all the choices. The thing that is different about representative democracy and monarchy that the people for representative democracy can vote out their representatives. In addition absolute monarchy is where they are limitless .The king represents their country. They are alike because they both use a king or queen. But representative monarchy is when they represent and absolute monarchy
Civil Liberties protect everyone from an overbearing government while Civil Rights protect certain groups or races. Also Civil Rights are based of a democratic government since they represent everyone that lives under that government while Civil Liberties come from a limited government where the people have momentous power and the government has certain restrictions over its power. 4 In 1833 in the court case of Barron v. Baltimore the court said that the Bill of Rights applied to the federal government, not to the states. They also said that every 4 American has dual citizenship. Another case was Korematsu v. United States where the court ruled against Korematsu’s rights.
It outlines a plan of government and provides the structure and functioning of the institutions of governments. Constitutions are expressions of popular sovereignty between the government and the governed. It specifies the powers and limitation of power of the government, as well as the right and privileges of citizens that cannot be affected by the government. Also it specified how citizens are allowed to participate in democratic decision making processes that determines public policies. In some ways, Texas Constitution executes these functions well.
