Radio is the radiation of electromagnetic energy through space. The biggest use of radio waves is to carry information, such as sound, by systematically changing some property of the radiated waves, such as their amplitude, frequency, phase, or pulse width. When radio waves strike an electrical conductor, the oscillating fields induce an alternating current in the conductor. The information in the waves can be extracted and transformed back into its original form.

Radio Mirchi is a nationwide network of private FM radio stations in India. It is owned by the Entertainment Network India Ltd (ENIL), which is one of the subsidiaries of The Times Group. Mirchi is a Hindi word which means chilli pepper . The tagline of Radio Mirchi is "It's hot!”.
Radio Mirchi maintains weekly music charts for India. The most followed charts are Mirchi Top 20 (Bollywood Songs) and Angrezi Top 20 (English Songs). However in Kolkata they are not clear leaders in SEC ABC segments. The SEC ABC segments were earlier dominated by Big FM & now by Friends FM. However in the SEC D & E segments Radio Mirchi has total domination.

In general, the media tends to cover races that are competitive, and the more competitive the race, the more likely it will be covered. Also, when races have the potential to interest viewers in other ways, such as elections in which celebrities run for office, there is a greater chance of media coverage as well. Through the use of paid media, contrast and attack ads, and the internet in general, television and media affect the choice of candidates in presidential elections in multiple ways. In terms of paid media, as stated in “Am Gov 2015-2016,” candidates may utilize paid media in order to “emphasize their good character and their stand on important issues” (220).
The Braindead Megaphone written by George Saunders analyzes the many negative effects that nowaday news media has on society. He begins by illustrating a scene in which a man disrupts a party and drowns out all voices with a megaphone. Now this imagery is a metaphor in which the megaphone represents the news media such as newspaper, television, radio, and of course the internet. As Saunders narration continues the people at the party soon begin to respond to whatever the man with the megaphone says and even starts to mimic things he does and say. In fact it does not matter what he says as long as the megaphone is in his hand.

Radio and Television content should be original, the content cannot be ruled original if scences are edited out or words are blocked out. Same things with the radio, host should not have to monitor what they say. It is a right we have to be able to say whatever we want. In that case we should be able to practice that in any form. If a certain person does not want to be apart of that, they have the option to exclude
These inventions changed the way that people interacted with one another. An example of this is the battery-less radio, created in 1925 by Edward Samuel Rogers. This invention was extremely helpful, as the radio could be plugged into a household electrical socket, opposed to requiring cumbersome batteries. The radio was so well regarded that it was considered “…The set that marks a new era in radio” (Freeman-Shaw, Haskings-Winner 47). This invention not only secured Rogers’ place in the history of communication technology, but also allowed more Canadians to have access to a radio, as anyone with household electricity could use it.

News stations are run by companies, people that run-in politics, the stations are to show what they want them to show. Also ads are bought for politicians to get their polls up in the elections. In America, Media bias is everywhere, in the United States all the information that an average American received through everyday sources, the news was most likely processed through the media and told through a biased point of view, when the media gets their hands on news if it is important then it probably won’t be talked about or downplayed no matter the source like in the newspaper, radio, television, movies, as well as other outlets that the media uses, the media only seems to share the news that they find interesting, even then the media would most likely have changed the story, in what they say is just tweaked news, what actually happened and what really happened would be two different stories, also the story would be told from one person
Bias is defined as being prejudice in favor of or against one thing, person, or group compared with another, usually in a way considered to be unfair. Americans experience some sort of bias every day, however, media bias is likely the most prevalent. Media can be biased towards liberals, conservatives, or any other political leaning. According to University of Oklahoma Professor, Keith Gaddie, the mainstream media mostly suffers from liberal bias - which is usually hostile toward conservative candidates and causes. Media bias can misinform, exaggerate truths, and cause confusion during voting season.
