Surely, the same-sex parents are capable of loving their children no less than heterosexual parents. However, the strong opponent of same-sex marriage legalization psychologist Trayce Hansen claims that children need more than just love and benefit only from the traditional model of family relationships with one male and one female parent that allows them to develop healthy relationships with people of both gender and reduces psychological problems later in life (Hansen 35). However, the adoption of children by
III) Homosexuals can provide the love, care and home that a child needs (Reason). A) Homosexuals work and know what it means to provide a home not only for themselves but for a child (Warrant). All of these wonderful freedoms are given to us so that we can live in a country that is truly free. My responsibility to America is to practice my given duties as a citizen, use my freedoms for good and not for evil, and use any of my abilities for the good of my country, helping in any way possible. I should vote in elections. It is something that other countries do not have the privilege of doing. I should respect others, listening to their opinions and ideas, and not condemning them.
The first ideal is Equality. Equality is important because it gives everyone equal rights and opportunities. Diana Pham said that here daughters graduating from college would not be possible without out country’s belief in equality (Doc A). Now, everyone is treated fairly and treated with respect no matter what your gender, race, religion, or cultural background is. With equality, everyone is able to reach their full potential.
My party however believes that it should be legalized all round no questions asked even if they can or can 't afford it. This is unmoral and allows people who are sexually active but with no intent to keep a kid to do what they want with no consequences. Being a unreligious person to me, having a child is a spiritual yet soul bonding experience. That shouldn 't be thrown away by legalizing abortion even when they can 't afford it. My personal view on Gun Control is as simple as the last.
Those who are Pro-Choice claim that it 's the mother 's choice on what to do, but what about the child 's? I completely agree that women deserve a right to choose what they want to do with their own body, but not at the cost of another living being. Unless a woman is raped, she had a choice. There are so many forms of birth control offered and widely available for anyone in need of them. You choose to have sexual intercourse and you choose whether or not to take proper precautions in order to prevent an unwanted pregnancy.
Some women do not feel as though they have another option for a career path, so they choose prostitution. Although many people claim that condoning prostitution could mean that they are condoning the degradation of women, this is not true. These women are choosing to be prostitutes as their profession, and they want the same respect as other career paths. Supporters want prostitution to be legalized, as well as regulated by police to prevent human trafficking, monitored by physicians for STDs, and allowed to be reported for any violent crimes against women in that work force. By doing this, a new career for both men and women can become available while bettering the community, but also by increasing the tax revenue.
Leslie Mendoza Professor Moreland September 22, 2014 ENGL 2327 Harriet Jacobs Equality is making sure that every individual is treated the same, and by that I mean the same. An individual should not be treated worse than another individual. They should respect their race, their gender, religion, sexual preferences, and also their needs. This is what Harriet Jacobs was searching for. Jacobs wanted to be free.
When that resource, time, is being used to focus on gender verses productivity the company as a whole suffers. By achieving gender equality in the workplace, companies should start to see a significant amount of financial progression. According to the Workplace Gender Equality Agency, “It can also improve national productivity and economic growth” (WGEA). This statistic can make for a great motivator in the business world. Not only can removing the gender factor reduce the number of barriers associated with females, but it can show that a company is willing to give every employee an equal chance which can lead to attracting newer potential experienced employees of both genders.
He also believes that women are scarcely charged with statutory rape because it is how it “should be. Delgado states that “men and women stand on very different footings with respect to physical and social power”. In some ways, I do agree with Delgado. I completely believe that if you look or act a certain way, no matter the court you are in, you could get prosecuted no matter how unfair it is. Those are truly the only cases that get media attention.
