The black smoke from the brick kiln is carbon dioxide(CO2) , sulpher dioxide (SO2), hydrocarbons , nitrogen dioxide ( NO2) , chloroflourocarbons , ammonia (NH3) and ozone. Co2 is one of the leading pollutants . SO2 is formed from combustion of fuels and coals. NO2 forms a brown layer over the atmosphere. Ozone is a mixture of solid aand liquids , even in its purest form it can cause illnesses , diseases , chestpain , shortness of breath etc. . when these poisonous substances are realesedthey affect the soil plants , lakes , people around and the people working in the kilns . these chemicals are hazardious to human , marine and all living things

In KPK ,Peshawar Charsadda and Mardan are the major producers of bricks . Approximately 450 brick kilns are in Peshawar and areas around Peshawar .
