He has recently been involved in a murder of a young boy ,however, that is that not why he is here today. He is here today to here the verdict on if he will be staying with his brothers or if he will be going to foster care. I have reached a verdict. Pony-boy Curtis will be going to foster care because he is surrounded by alcohol and cigarettes, he is involved in gang violence, and he is surrounded by bad influences.
One of the reasons I believe that Pony-boy Curtis should be sent to foster care is because he is surrounded by alcohol and cigarettes. Almost every one of Pony-boy's friends and family has a negative influence on his life in some way or another. As I mentioned in my first reason, they influence him to drink alcoholic beverages, however, there is many more negative influences than just alcohol. Take his late friend , Dally, for example; Dally is the one who gave Pony-boy a gun when he and Johnny went in to hiding after Johnny stabbed a boy. This was a very negative influence on Pony-boy as no fourteen year old teenager should have a gun, especially a loaded pistol, in their possession. Also his brother, Darrel, is also a negative influence on Pony-boy. He is a bad influence on Pony-boy because he talks bad to Pony-boy and one time a few weeks ago, he even slapped Pony-boy across the face which made Pony-boy run out of the door. There is many more bad influences that Pony-boy's friends and family have on him, but these were just a

Where the two boys were declared heroes. They both deserve this title because they are originally a part of a local hoodlum gang called the Greasers, who live on the north side of Tulsa, Oklahoma. They are well known for causing trouble and getting into fights or “rumbles”, so a local bystander wouldn’t usually expect this kind of boy to do something like this. As Ponyboy Curtis had said, “Greaser’ didn’t have anything to do with it... It’s the individual.”
Should Ponyboy be sent to foster care? Ponyboy is a 14 year old boy living with his brothers. His parents died 6 months ago. Foster care is a temporarily place, where children in bad situations are sent. Sending Ponyboy to foster care is the best choice because he will be able to get proper care, live in a good, stable home, and neither of his brothers have experience of child care.
He tries to help Ponyboy and he doesn't want pony to go the same path as he or Dally. He has a kind personality and putting him in a gang doesn't really match his personality. An example of Ponyboy almost maturing from the influence of Darry and Sodapop, is when their parents were killed in a car crash. When their Parents died it caused them to get closer and look out for eachother more (#3).
Ponyboy should stay with his family and friends. While there are many statements supporting sending him to a foster home there is also good reasoning for keeping him here with Darry and Soda. ¨The jury has reached a decision,¨ I stated, ¨they have decided to keep Ponyboy with Darry and Soda.¨ the reasons for which he was staying were simple. His family was supporting, he could learn protection for self defense only, and because they can more than likely care for him better than a foster home
