What is pop culture?
Pop culture is different media that are very popular or well-liked in a certain period of time. Ideas, perspectives, attitude and images or other multimedia can be trendy for a certain period of time. It started early to the mid 20th century (1900’s to 2000’s). Pop culture is everywhere in the world, and different places have different pop cultures. Anything with a thrill to it could be already counted as pop cultures. Smart phones (mostly iPhone and Samsung) are the center of pop culture as most of these sudden light bulbs are from Apps on the phone or in other cases, computers.

When a new idea that’s catching attention from people who have access to media which include: Television, Videos (Youtube mostly), Pictures, Tunes (Easy to sing) etc.
How does videos help promote pop culture?
It helps promote pop culture by catching attention from people who watch the video. People will start becoming interested in whatever is being promoted and then start spreading it just like a virus which goes viral.

This is a online social media, it is headquartered in Menlo Park, California. It started February 4th, 2004 by Mark Zuckerberg with his friends( Eduardo Saverin, Andrew McCollum, Dustin Moskovitz and Chris Hughes) in Harvard. People can create a User Profile and start “Posting” things on their page, these Users can also add other Users as “Friends” and comment on posts or “like” them.

Snapchat is a type of social media, which allows people to send message, photos and videos around 1 to 10 seconds to friends. It was developed by its original author, Snapchat, Inc. The developers are Bobby Murphy and Evan Spiegel. It was released around September 2011.
Whatsapp
This is a type of social media that allows people to socialize with other people by texting, sending pictures and send audio recording to other people. It was released around January 2010. The former employees of Yahoo, Brian Acton and Jan Koum founded WhatsApp Inc in 2009. The headquarters of Whatsapp are Mountain View, California and United States.
