Our overall theme for the four tents was to do the four season of the year: spring, summer, fall, and winter. Each tent had an accompanying color scheme and overall vibe. The spring tent’s color scheme was light blues and greens. The attraction would be like Poppet and Widget’s, but with a large variety of young animals with the thought in mind that springtime is basically baby season for animals. For the female’s outfit, I decided to go with a light blue peplum top with green detailing, light wash jeans, and yellow canvas sneakers inspired by Converse. The peplum top would make the performer look casual while still being put together and staying cool while moving around. The light wash jeans are loose and cuffed at the ankles which would provide mobility for the performer and protection against any animals who had accidents. The yellow canvas sneakers are meant to look like Converse and would allow the performer to move around easily. For the male’s outfit, I decided to go with a green and white crewneck pullover, the same light wash jeans and yellow canvas sneakers. The crewneck pullover is white with green detailing that looks like it is melting upwards …show more content…
The attraction would be the ice garden. For the female’s outfit, I decided to go with an oversized coat, a white shirt, pants, and boots. The navy fuzzy coat would keep the performer warm and comfortable while looking fashionable. The white v-neck shirt would serve as a light color to balance out the dark colors. The black pants would keep the performer warm and looking professional. The black boots would keep the performer’s feet warm. For the male’s outfit, I decided to go with a coat, cardigan, t-shirt, pants, and boots. The light blue cardigan and thick black jacket would keep the performer warm and looking professional. The white v-neck shirt would balance out the rest of the dark colors. The black pants and boots would keep the performer warm as
When springtime came around and it was time for a carnival queen to be selected, she was picked by her peers in her homeroom class to run, along with fifteen other girls from the other classes. Her outfit choice would be essential to becoming queen. “I knew I couldn’t beat the other contestants at their own game, that is, look like a bobbysoxer. Yet neither could I look too Japanese-y. I decided to go exotic, with a flower print sarong, black hair loose and a hibiscus flower behind my ear.
The summer session represents freedom. The boys have a lot of extra free time. They get trips to the beach and are able to play the game “blitzball”. However, once the summer session ends, the winter session begins. The winter session represents structure and discipline.
Last minute, I decided I wanted to run for Miss South Carolina Rodeo Princess and everyone began trying to make it happen. I sat in the kitchen of Mrs. Darlene Steen and searched for the perfect outfits. This wasn’t just casual or formal event clothing, you had
Sun glasses up the episode component, although trench jackets offer actually denims as well as trainers a tasteful side, advanced sets apart, impressive grooming and also a trench layer produce a good clothing that can produce onlookers end as well as focus for those appropriate
A particularly effective element of the production was the use of costume. The costumes exposed the time period, transporting the audience back to 1981, immediately involving me in the story. Costume represented the social class the characters belonged to. Mr and Mrs Lyons were rich and had a high social status, their costume established their character; Mr. Lyons was wearing a suit and Mrs. Lyons wore tights and uniform.
Their uniform was also different from the two preceding bands, the Blackcats uniform has a more military style, with a turtle-neck, black and yellow jacket, and black pants. The SIUC Equestrian team was also in the parade, it was a group of people walking, some of them were wearing the same long-sleeve shirt. The next fraternity had made a cardboard castle; from one of the windows of this castle, the king and the queen of this fraternity were waving the crowds. The queen was wearing a very fancy gown, the king worn a button down shirt which he had rolled up its sleeves. The rest of the people in this truck were wearing outfits like kings and queens.
The costumes in Hot Shoe Shuffle highly depend on the music, lighting and singing, for example, when bright colours in lights were used it was clear that the costumes also reflected the lighting and setting by using similar ,bright, colours. Furthermore, when dark tones were used, more classical tap dancing and costumes were being
Jeannette Walls, the author of The Glass Castle, tells her story to the world of how she became the woman she is today. Walls’ depiction of her early life is nothing short of magnificent, as she informs the reader of who her family was and how they lived. Alongside her family, Jeannette is forced to move around the country due to her dad’s inability to handle liquor in moderation. Although her dad is a drunk he was still a great father who would protect his kids and strive to great lengths to get them what they deserve in life. The novel will intrigue the reader in accordance to the story’s themes and characters.
I seem to absorb advertisements quicker than I can process them; they breeze past any cognitive thought or qualifications and set up shop as doctrines for my life. Moreover, some advertisements are denied with twisted logic, like using brand loyalty to make decisions. In an effort to gain better understanding of advertising’s art of persuasion, I have been studying the rhetorical appeals and attempting to identify them in my daily ad intake. They are: pathos, an appeal to emotions; logos, an appeal to logic and reasoning; ethos, an appeal to credibility; and Kairos, the timeliness of the appeal. Recently, while walking through Overton Park, I came across a sign that advertises three park features: a zoo, art college, and art museum; rather
The Hunger Games story, Catching Fire, is connected to many themes and had lots of well thought-out characters, foreshadowing and symbols. One of the most important symbols in the story was the mocking jay. The Mocking Jay is used to show rebellion, survival and hope which are all major themes in Catching Fire. As well as being a symbol for rebellion, it also foreshadowed that District 13 may actually still be alive. After the war between the Districts and the Capitol, it was rumored that the Capitol destroyed district 13.
As soon as I walk through the gates into the festival I am met by the smell of sweat and flowers from the pubescent dancers. Everywhere I look the invigorating music seeps into my mind from every possible angle drowning out the sound of the obnoxious crowd, filling my thoughts with utter beauty and perfection. Every word sung sinks deeper into my heart until I can't help but lift my hands in pure joyfulness to the hypnotizing sound of Jimi Hendrix. The crowd is stunned and silenced as Hendrix plays his harmonious guitar. When I walk into the amazing life changing festival I can sense the rhythmic chatter of my fellow flower children.
The outfits worn by the individual characters show their personalities and give the audience the assumption of the characters. For example, Dorothy’s costume shows youthful innocence in colour. Her hair is neatly braided with soft and pleasant make-up. She also wears a blue checked pinafore. She is portrayed as perfectly innocent and sweet.
The clothes you wear reflect your personality as it speaks much about who you are and how you do business. It shows that you are confident, bold and gives impression that you are on top of the game because you know exactly what you are about. For example, wearing a perfect fit suit would be more appropriate
In the presentation, his overall appearance was a formal one. He wore a formal coat with a decent blue color. Though, his pants were not of the same color but still matched the personality. The combination of light blue shirt and dark blue coat appealed the audience, at least me. His formal yet trendy glasses were also a plus
