The Teams began to build stadiums which helped the sports industry tremendously. “The 19th century had admired its sporting heroes, but the mass media extended their reach, transforming local idols into national celebrities. Many cities built huge football stadiums and baseball parks. But to put that in perspective, after Germany won the men’s tournament last year, they earned an extra $35 million” (Mazziota). I mean why would that person even have a firework on them? Getting past security? I don’t understand but I guess that is okay sometimes. My dad was once a professional soccer player, so he knows a lot about crowd interaction.
