Pos Malaysia Berhad (PMB) is a postal delivery service in Malaysia. Pos Malaysia Berhad was established in 1992 from being a governmental owned Malaysian Postal Services Department into a business corporation. The company provides transport logistics, postal and related services, counter collection, printing and insertion, and payment agency services for a range of financial transactions, such as remittance, bill payments, unit trusts and insurance. PosLaju is the courier branch for Pos Malaysia Berhad (PMB) that holds an exclusive concession to provide mail services through its network of over 850 branches and mini post offices in Malaysia. The history can be traced back to the early 1800s with the establishment of postal services first in Straits Settlements in Penang, Malacca and Singapore till expanding through the rest of Malaya by the early 20th century. Letters were then delivered through dispatch riders or special messengers. Instead of postage stamps, fees were collected when letters were handed in at the Post Office. Receipts are received when letters were posted. The system later changed when the Indian stamps overprinted with crown and Straits ' stamps overprinted with dollars and cents were introduced in 1867.
