Nowadays, people use lots of languages that you usually can’t find in the dictionaries. These informal words and expressions are known as ‘slang’. As stated in TheFreeDictionary.com, slang is “a kind of language occurring chiefly in casual and playful speech…used in place of standard terms for added raciness, humor, irreverence, or other effect". Using slang may affect the language and confuse non-native speakers. We cannot say that using slang is bad or completely unacceptable but we can say that overuse of slang terms can negatively affect people especially non-native speakers because sometimes, they can 't differentiate between proper English and colloquial talk.
