The Louisiana purchase happened when napoleon Bonaparte and France needed money for war with the British. they saw no need for the land and figured they would get it back when they went to war with the. The Louisiana Purchase of 1803, america purchased approximately five hundred and thirty million acres of territory from France. The Louisiana Territory stretched from the Mississippi River in the east to the Rocky Mountains in the west and from the Gulf of Mexico in the south to the Canadian border in the north. 15 states were created from the land that was purchased. There was many positive and negative effects of the purchase.

The Great Expulsion: French Acadians Divided The Great Expulsion of the Acadians began in 1755 by the order of the Nova Scotia governor, Charles Lawrence. Lawrence didn’t want the Acadians take up arms with the British and demanded they signed the unconditional oath of allegiance. The allegiance demanded that the Acadians gave up their neutrality and giving their loyalty to Britain. Failing to do so, Lawrence ordered the expulsion to begin.
The French began their colonization of Africa in the 16th century, according to Beauclair. Prior to their colonization, Africa was a very different place. Pre-colonization Africa was made up of many different tribes and cultures, including the Tuareg, Nami and Kalahari tribes of Western Africa that we learned about this year. Each tribe had their own cultures, traditions and customs. The tribes governed themselves without a "national government", and there were no country lines put in place.
Imperialism and its consequences Imperialism is the term that describes one nation’s dominance over another nation or territory. In the 1800s there were four types of imperialisms, which were; Colonial imperialism, Economic Imperialism, Political Imperialism, and the Socio-Cultural Imperialism. Colonial Imperialism, this form of imperialism is virtual complete takeover of an area, with domination in all areas: economic, political, and socio-cultural. Economic Imperialism, this form of imperialism allowed the area to operate as its own nation, except for the trading and other businesses.
Ghassan Kanafani once said “Imperialism has layed its body over the world, the head in Eastern Asia, the heart in the Middle East, its arteries reaching Africa and Latin America. Wherever you strike it, you damage it, and you serve the World Revolution.” When the European countries colonized Africa it brought unity among the people. Along with Europe came modern technology including medicine which saved many lives. Europe also brought economic growth into Africa’s culture.
There was some negative things that did happen but overall there was more imperialism was good. Imperialism was definitely worth slavery, natural resources being taken advantage of and cultures being destroyed for machinery, health care ,education, more resources and languages became available because of imperialism. Free resources for mother countries. This made mother countries be able to make a product for less but sell it for more, they made more profit. The spread of different languages made communication easier.
As the world of global exploration and colonization grew, many powerful European empires set out to see what the New World had in store for them. Each empire had their own individual agendas and incentives for colonization. This led to the many differences between methods of colonization and exploration in every colony and region. The Atlantic World portrayed these contrasts between the Spanish, French, Dutch and British empires. However, the British settlements along the Eastern seaboard differed the most from those of other empires because there were no established policies or methods in British colonization, which led to differences in the economics and culture of each colony depending on who settled it.
The history behind the New World in which we know of today as America contracts around the brawl of England, Spain and France as countries that tried to conquer this continent. People from all around crossed the oceans like the Atlantic for example to come and try to start a new way of life on this continent. These new comers all had their own and different reasons and purposes on why they were headed to the New World, from government all the way to their living conditions. They also tried to bring their own governments to this continent and they all had different approaches to their colonies and their effort to become what they wanted to be. All of the various accusations of what was to be done and what should be done brought fate to towards the New World.
What people always thought is that the European exploration was a negative impact .But the truth was never told. During the 1400s Europe did not produce the goods that were desired by the elites of the time. They also endured a plagued called the Black Death. However, as time went on novel technology surfaced. There was a new desire to spread the Christian faith, which lead to explorers voyaging the seas, and the creation of the New World.
Even though it has been over sixty years since Myanmar was imperialized, remnants of the outcome of imperialism can still be well observed. The language, the clothing, the infrastructures all have been affected by imperialism. These effects may deceive people into thinking that imperialism was all sunshine and rainbows but in reality, imperialism brutally destroyed the different aspects of a country. Imperialism impacted societies in countless negative ways. It led to slave trade which then led to social discrimination around the world.
While the colonization of the America’s was negative for many reasons such as the spread of illnesses, and the forcing of religion upon natives, it was also beneficial to the Native’s because it allowed them to have better weapons and to have different foods and goods in their lives. The Europeans exposed the Natives to many new diseases once they colonized the new areas they discovered. The Europeans greatly impacted the family life and religion of the inhabitants of the areas they found. There was also a lot of exchange going on during the conquest of the Americas because the Natives were excited by the new gadgets they had never seen before that the Europeans brought over.
