Internet effects on the students
Introduction:
Our topic will be around the internet uses within students in the UAE. The reason we choose it because now a day’s education is mainly using Internet and also the effect of social media on the students. And how is it positive in a student study and how it is a negative distraction to a student.
Internet is a computer networks that link the world together either in education, governmentally, and commercials. The beginning of the internet was started in the US government in the 60s, after twenty years they started teaching it academically and also military uses, but it really started in the early 90s when commercial enterprises was able to have grasp on the internet and people started to use it as a personal thing and started the area of internet and social media. Hills and argyle (2003) found that 83% of people of both genders used the internet and spent an average of 7.9 hours per week on line; educated people use the internet more than the others. Also data were collected from 443 elementary and secondary teachers throughout the country using the teachers internet survey (TIS) In the United Arab Emirates; school has started to gain more access to computers and the internet (Alghazo, in press).
