Internet effects on the students
Introduction:
Our topic will be around the internet uses within students in the UAE. The reason we choose it because now a day’s education is mainly using Internet and also the effect of social media on the students. And how is it positive in a student study and how it is a negative distraction to a student.
Internet is a computer networks that link the world together either in education, governmentally, and commercials. The beginning of the internet was started in the US government in the 60s, after twenty years they started teaching it academically and also military uses, but it really started in the early 90s when commercial enterprises was able to have grasp on the internet and people started to use it as a personal thing and started the area of internet and social media. Hills and argyle (2003) found that 83% of people of both genders used the internet and spent an average of 7.9 hours per week on line; educated people use the internet more than the others. Also data were collected from 443 elementary and secondary teachers throughout the country using the teachers internet survey (TIS) In the United Arab Emirates; school has started to gain more access to computers and the internet (Alghazo, in press). With the internet dominating our lives, it is hard to ignore the impact it has on our brains. The internet has been around for a decent amount of time now. Since 1983 the internet has been in our lives. But is that a good thing or a bad thing has the internet helped or hurt us. Furthermore, before the Internet was invented, the life was completely different. I remember as a teenager in the late 1990s, I always like to go out to watch the movies with my friends. Billions of people use the Internet each and every day to research topics, check their social media, and communicate. The nation as a whole has become extremely dependent on technology to do their work and survive through the day.

With social networking sites people can have a long chain of friends they can chat or share information with. Mostly students devote more attention to social media than they do to their studies. Students’ addictiveness to social network, students’ frequency of exposure to social network, social media network that the students are more exposed to and the influence of social media as a medium of interaction between students has been part of discussion in recent times and which have imparted on their academic performance.
