Abstract There is a continue rise and growth in the area of Social network in the recent years , it becomes in everyday of our life, it helps in many ways for building relationship and communication between friends , families , organizations, helping students in their researches ,reduces the cost for service delivery, exchange of information, commercial purpose , and marketing. On the other hand, there is still a challenge of privacy concerns. A case study of social network uses among university students revealed that 89 % use it, and 92 % use it for enjoying, 70 % for learning.

Easily obtained updated news with more customer satisfaction
It was found that most of the people who used the online social media spend too much time using the internet and social networking sites, it help the person who feel lonely to be socially involved. It is cheaper than other activities.

Negative impact:
Daily interaction with more expansion that is social and more communications from all over the world and daily use may raise some health problems; it can lead to addiction of internet. Some studies detected the presence of stress and anxiety among the users. In addition to student bullying in the school and some negative behavior issues. This is more prevalent among teenage they may be dangerous to them , they are interesting in pictures , comments they may express pictures with drinking , smoking and posting improper pictures this also may expose them to bullying, and threads through the web. Methodology: A cross sectional study was carried out in the universities in Dubai. A stratified random sample procedure was used for selection of the universities and grade of educational level; two universities were selected randomly one governmental and one private, all grades of education were involved using proportional allocation. The sample size reached 2500 students

The data collection: the data were collected through distribution of pre-structured self-administrated questionnaire among the students. It includes the following data: - Demographic data
- Use of social network: yes / no
-The preferred site for use: Facebook, What Sapp, Twitter, LinkedIn - Frequency of using these sites
- Reason for using the social network

Results:
The total number of the students was 2500; females represented 46 % of the sample. Figure (1) revealed that 89 % of the students use the social network, of them 72 % uses it on daily basis. The majority (90 %) use Facebook, as they reported that it meets the social needs and self-presentation followed by WhatsApp (88 %), LinkedIn (56%), Instagram (41 %) and Twitter by 30 %
