Education is important, that is a fact we all know and because of the way of how much technology has grown in these last few years a new debate arose. Has the technology we have today improved or worsened the education? Technology plays a big role in people’s lives that is another fact, but is this role really helping us, many believe that it is only harming the education, while others believe it has made learning easier. What technology has truly done is provide people a beneficial assistance in the learning process of education due to the advancements and tools that have been created.

Apps and games can create more enjoyable and entertaining methods of learning in a way that will motivate the users to keep coming back and continue their progress. While programs and websites can offer similar methods alongside lessons and quizzes to test what one has learned so far. Technology is a distraction and it can also become an addiction. Instead of using the time wisely many times what happens is that the person becomes distracted by one of the many social networks available, such as Facebook, Twitter and YouTube, or maybe even by a game, and spend our time on these websites instead doing work. However, what can be done is use these same websites in our learning progress. We can follow people that post information on the subject being learned, this way every time one logs in there will be new useful information and one can remember the work they must do. Another strategy would be for one to post what they have learned, this will lead to others who are into the same subject share their knowledge and opinions with you. Yet a more effective way to handle the distraction and addiction is by downloading an application that blocks or limits you from using the internet or specific websites by a certain amount of time. During that time one will not be distracted and can concentrate on their work (“4 Good Tools to Stop Digital Distraction and Stay Focused,” 2015). Of course another issue is how technology can affect health. It is known that spending too much time in front of a screen, after a while, will begin to affect the eyesight.
