The world created by God has its influence on an individual and comprises of living and non-living things, such as human, animals, sea, buildings, etc. Because the world involves human and other living things it will always have a purpose and change of mindset and thought of us eventually. The nuclear family consists of the parents and siblings while the extended family includes the parents, grandparents, siblings, aunties, uncles, cousins, and so on. My family was my initial world. United States of America was where I was born but I grew up with my nuclear family in Ghana (Africa). Between the ages of six (6) and seven (7), I and parents our enthusiasm was me becoming a doctor. However, after a decade past, my interest changed. During primary and high school level of education, I realized what I did most, enjoy and passionate was soccer and singing. Ever since the discovery, my dream has become a professional and famous soccer player. Although, my parents wanted a medical doctor initially they’ve also have been of tremendous support for the transition took place. My father founded a soccer team because of me. The people that live around us brings companionship or association with one’s fellow. This interaction can be involved in a persistent social interaction or a large social group sharing the same geographical or social territory, typically subject to the same beliefs or interests or political authority and dominant cultural expectations. Although my family was supportive building my dreams or interests; friends and people of my community/state, like, elderly, leaders, soccer fans, and pastors have influenced me positively. I wish I could include a picture of me playing soccer with this essay because that was all I did from age five to fifteen. Soccer was life for ten years so most people are surprised to hear that the fall of my senior year in high school I will Captain of my high school Cross Country team. How I became Captain of a running sport is an accomplishment I never saw coming. If you had asked me in elementary school, middle school, or even my first two years of high school if I would do anything but play soccer I would have said never. I am the youngest of three boys.
According to Parsons, nuclear family is familial form consisting of a father, a mother, and their children (pg. 453). A nuclear family is also considered to be the “traditional family” and this occurred greatly during the 1900’s. The traditional family would be a man and women get married at a young age, have children, the father goes to work and makes the money, while the wife stays home to raise their children and tent to the house. It was expected that the wife has the house clean and for dinner to be on the table when their husband was home from work, this was the dominant model for people living in the 1950’s.
Summer was at full blast, Sunday league was starting and I was playing soccer every single day. I was ready for the next season of high school soccer to come and I was training myself to the limit because I wanted to be one of the best players on the field and to possibly be captain for varsity this year. This year was also the year our new coach, coach Jay was in charge of us because Olivier had left last year to to go to Michigan with his wife. Jay had already seen how well of a player I was because I played in his soccer club and immediately placed me in the varsity roster but as a defender and not a striker. When I joined Early college Academy, I hated the fact that I was not allowed to play any sports. Soccer was not offered and neither was playing for other schools as an option. After finding this out, I wanted to leave the school immediately. In today 's media-saturated environment, however, parental influence is often diminished by the fixation that children have on the glamorous lifestyles of celebrities and athletes. When parents allow them to be their children 's primary role models, the line between fantasy and reality becomes too blurred for imparting lessons about ethics, character, and responsibility. To start with, the media 's ongoing glamorization of celebrities behaving badly often seems to make them that much more appealing to impressionable children. No matter how many times a child is told by her parents that certain behaviors are inappropriate, disrespectful or dangerous, the double standard is still pervasive.
