ELIMINATE POVERTY IN HONG KONG In Hong Kong, a city packed with humongous, tall buildings and streets, filled with busy people going on with their business all day; it really easy to see only the employed workers who put on a smile to serve you but not the tired person who’s smile is stripped away upon thinking about the money they would have to spend in order to survive. How is it possible that they would consume themselves in working the whole day but not even have enough basic funds to survive? Then what would happen to the unemployed? Would they be out in the open, begging for money from dusk to dawn and hide in the dark alleys at night in order to sleep without being watched? Why would anyone have to go through that? However, we could also step in and contribute into helping. We could donate old things we don’t like, or donate money to charities that support the poor. To the homeless you see on the street, just donating some loose change would be some help to them. It is quite saddening to know that people are struggling to afford the funds for simple survival and because of that, it is important to eliminate poverty as soon as possible in Hong Kong for a better and happier society.
