The online reviews agreed with what we thought of the gardens, although some were not very positive about the restaurant that they have on the property. One reviewer wrote, “The gardens are a jewel for the Kansas City area” (Martinezcm, 2014), but went on to add, “their restaurant has awful hours and worse menu” (Martinezcm, 2014). While we did not experience the café they have to offer, we thought that it was a great place to have events without the use of the café. While reading other online reviews one said, “they have various types of ecosystems from beautiful gardens to ponds, marshes, woods with hiking trails to grassfields and a barnyard” (Mlgocon, 2014). There is more to Powell Gardens than just a pretty venue, there are also every day things that you can go enjoy such as the hiking trails. When looking at reviews though it seems that Powell Gardens would be better suited for special events, like a wedding. A bride that had been married at the gardens wrote a review about how great the scenery was for her event saying, “Powell Gardens is the perfect site for a beautiful wedding. The chapel is amazing and creates such an intimate environment for a wedding” (Amanda, 2008). All the online reviews for weddings that we read were almost all identical, “Powell Gardens chapel is definitely one of a kind; we knew right away it was the place for our ceremony. It's located in the midst of nature and all its beautiful surroundings. Plus the pictures onsite are amazing. We couldn't have asked for a better venue” (Kellkat11, 2011). We think this would be a great venue place as well as a great place to

The University of California, Riverside is highly known for its incredible Bell Tower, but while the Bell Tower is a great site the campus offers a one of a kind Botanical Garden. The Botanical Garden has been around since the 1960's and till this day is always improving. The Botanical Garden welcomes people to experience it's blooming flowers, hiking trails, plants, and wildlife. While the Botanical Garden offers a beautiful sight it also serves other purposes, to serve the community by contributing to research for the university, volunteer options, and fundraisers to benefit the university's programs.
The gardens directly around Monticello were to be fashioned as an ornamental farm, “Combining utility with beauty,”1 as well as a place for experimentation and research, which helped Jefferson determine the vegetables, trees and
Off the Books Report In this book we see Sudhir Venkatesh as he dwells among the people of Maquis Park, a poor black neighborhood in the ghetto of Chicago. He comes to tell us about the black market economy that keeps this neighborhood alive; although mostly illegal, the mix of “licit and illicit” goods and services serves as a way of making a living for almost everyone in this neighborhood, ranging from prostitutes and drug-dealers to pastors and nannies. This economy is incredibly interesting to read about and observe through lens of Venkatesh. He could not stand idly by as a bystander as he took part in the community of these people and after years of being there he slowly became a person of interest in the neighborhood who was sought out
The ability to go to these places allows our students to interact and connect with nature as they learn, enhance the learning
Even though they acknowledge that the installation of parks is an expensive enterprise, the author needs to address potential objections from those who believe the money would be better spent elsewhere. In addition, the author disregards the perspective of those who think Dallas' shortage of accessible park space is not a top

Rufus Cables’s choice of words is significant. By naming the park Garden of the Gods, Cables made a conscious decision embrace all religions and recognize the spirituality of the space. He chose to include the gods of all religions rather then deem the land a place to worship his own faith. It is Garden of the Gods, not God’s
Hiking and camping are two very popular pastimes in the Shawnee. The forest holds multiple campgrounds both government and privately owned. Garden of the Gods is a huge attraction spot for people who enjoy the outdoors. When people travel down to the Garden they are able to see things they have only seen in pictures. Another positive aspect is that people from all over the place can meet someone they would have never had the chance to meet.
The cemetery that I chose to visit was “Green Acres Mortuary and Cemetery in Scottsdale. Green Acres Mortuary and Cemetery was established and has been managed by the Hawkins family since 1957. It is a part of Dignity Memorial, which is America’s largest provider of funeral, cremation, and cemetery services. Upon driving into Green Acres’s grand stone walls, it doesn’t take long to notice the vast amount of graves that lie within it. There are small roads that wind within the cemetery to take you as close as possible to the grave you wish to visit.
(A ). There are 16 other rides that people can enjoy. In conclusion, Carousel Gardens is a great place to create amazing memories one never forget. The Ritz-Carlton Hotel of New Orleans is a great place to stay that is only 3.7 miles away from Carousel Gardens.
Sexuality in adolescence Sexuality is the most notorious and common sign of development in adolescence. “The House on Mango street”, by Sandra Cisneros is a coming of age novel, where Esperanza transitions from a girl into a young teen. In her journey, Esperanza comes across many challenges, she is forced to grow up by life’s adversities. In the short story “Girl” by Jamaica Kincaid, a mother advises her daughter and scolds her into becoming a decent woman. In her guidance, the mother is worried about her daughter’s sexual activity and warns her about the consequences of improper behavior.
In the novel Candide written by Voltaire, one of the main motifs is the garden. It has been mentioned multiple times throughout the book. The first garden was the Castle of baron Thunder-Ten- Tronckh, there is the garden of Eldorado, and Candide's final garden. As a main motif, the garden symbolizes people's lives and how they must nurture them to have a good outcome. The garden is used cleverly throughout the novel to convey an optimistic moral about the importance of gardens' cultivation that determines the life and fate of the characters.
Kincaid said that her favorite garden is the Garden of Eden. The recreation of the garden in Auschwitz was the Holocaust garden. This made Kincaid not want to talk about the Garden of Eden because of the German roots in Auschwitz. This creates a bitter thought for Kincaid. For the gardens on the Middleton Place Plantation she describes how the garden had individual spots for a specific flower.
From walking your dog, to playing with your kids, the park is the perfect place for endless outdoor activities and events. The park is a door to escape the harshness of the world and return to reality with a new mind set on the world. Most public parks offer amazing sceneries of nature from plants and trees to wildlife.
